Nice cutting board mats
I really like these mats, and I don't know how I lived without them before. I used to have one clear plastic mat that I used on top of my wood cutting board. It slipped a lot, and it warped when heated objects were placed on it. These Simply Genius mats are such an upgrade. They stick better to the wooden cutting board so they don't slide around. This keeps my cutting board cleaner so I don't have to wash it as often. They have a textured/waffled top which also keeps liquids from running off. They take the brunt of very sharp knives and none have cut through them or anything, so they're sturdy. I like that this package had two sizes that came with it; I found the small ones useful for small cutting jobs, like slicing a tomato or something on the side. To clean them, I usually use a dish brush and brush off the food a bit in the sink (this also helps clean the waffle texture better), then I throw them in the dishwasher. I've seen some other reviews here that they don't always come out dry, which is true. But that's because of the waffle texture and how it grips to liquids, so sometimes they hold onto water and take a while to dry. It's no big deal, as I open my dishwasher and let all my dishes dry for a few hours before I unload anyway. And most of all, I love these neutral gray colors! When I was searching for cutting board mats, so many brands only offer bright, clownish colors, which are not fit for a modern/sophisticated kitchen look. Who wants rainbow-colored cutting mats? They look like they're for children, lol--sorry, just my opinion. These gray ones look nice, feel nice, they're inexpensive, and work well--I'm happy and can't complain. Once these wear out, I'd have no hesitation buying more.

fairly stiff boards that can go in the dishwasher
These are fairly stiff boards, which is a good thing. It makes it easy to chop veggies and then pick up the board to slide the veggies into the pot/pan. They don't slide around the counter when you're cutting, but they are easily turned by hand if you need to do that. I suspect that's due to the texture on the bottom side. They are easily washed, but with the texture on the top side, we sometimes need to use a brush just to make sure it's cleaned (if we're washing by hand.) They do go into the dishwasher as well, so if you're about to run a load after dinner, just chuck them in with the rest of the dishes. A few folks have made comments that say "knives don't leave marks"; I'm here to say they do, but because these are thick and seem to be of harder plastic than cheap cutting boards, the marks are minor and don't seem to cut the plastic, but rather just leave visual marks. All this is not a negative, but just wanted to comment on it. Overall, a nice set of boards that does what you want a cutting board to do.

Sturdy, resist knife cuts
Sturdy and amazingly resistant to knife cuts. I needed new cutting mats b/c old ones got wrecked with knife cuts. So I've been very closely examining these Simply Genius Flexible boards for any subtle sign of a knife cut. They just don't seem to get cut easily, at least not w/ several weeks of heavy use. In fact, they do not show signs of being used at all so far. Nice colors, easy to wash and store. Spent a little bit extra to try out these mats that are just the right thickness, so they can be used as a funnel to empty contents into a pot or bowl. Feels like a good 'investment,' and with 4 mats, can rotate them or designate for meat/poultry or fruits/vegetables or use 2 or more for different parts of cooking projects around the kitchen. Easy to use, five stars. And I cut my old, scratched up mats to fit storage areas where it's good to have protection, like fridge drawers and a metal shelf rack.

American made ???
These are without a doubt much thicker and much nicer than the paper thin plastic sheets we bought last time. Those were so thin that you would eventually cut through them if slicing with a sharp knife. These are thicker than 2, maybe even 3 of the thin ones combined - I expect them to be much more durable. The thickness makes them stiffer (for putting in the dishwasher) - yet they will still bend with little effort. And they seem to resist damage from sharp knives much better. Overall a very nice set that takes up far less room than traditional cutting boards. So, why only 4 stars ? Because they claim to be made in the USA, but there is no stamp on the sheets anywhere. However, the paper sleeve that they come in says made in China. So, are they or aren't they made in the USA ? If they are, why have the paper sleeve made in China - you couldn't find a printer here in the USA to make that simple item ? Or at least insist that the sleeve says product made in USA, sleeve made in China ? But if you're going to say made in the USA, lets go all the way, and remove any doubt. There are plenty of people more willing to spend their money here, rather than sending it to China.

Handy, economical cutting boards
Glad I purchased these cutting boards for daily food prep. Light, durable, easy to clean, easy to store, and the two sizes are good for different applications. Even using heavy duty food knives these boards stand up to the abuse. You will see cut lines but they don't look out of place (and I don't care about how the board looks!). Excellent value and functionality.

Much better quality than other similar cutting boards
We've used this type of thin countertop cutting mats for many years. Last year we replaced an old set that was pretty worn out, but the replacements (which had a non-slip backing pattern as well) were thinner and slipped all over the countertop while cutting and chopping, pretty dangerous IMO. We decided those had to go and began pouring over reviews. There are several "very similar" style cutting boards on Amazon and we didn't want to get anything that performed like the previous "slip and slide" set. We finally settled on this set then anxiously waited for them to arrive. We cook a ton in our house and chop boat-loads of veggies along with meat prep, we use the darkest shade for meats only and the rest are used for various produce. These actually stay "mostly" put (pro tip: put a silicone baking mat under it if you're going to be doing a ton of chopping, then it won't budge). These are thicker than many of the others and are a little stiffer to bend, but even with arthritis I'm able to bend them enough to slide food into bowls and pots with ease. Really happy with the purchase and would absolutely recommend. We have a number of different cutting boards, but these are my "go-to" cutting mats, they're big and I love that I can bend them to pour the contents into the bowl/pot/instant pot, etc.

Much thicker than others; they shouldn't warp easily - non-slip texture that actually works.
These are much more heavy duty than the last few sets of cutting mats we've used, which always tend to warp over time. And the non-slip bottom feels rubbery, unlike cheaper mats which just stamp the same pattern into the hard plastic making them slide around even more than a flat surface would. If using on a wood cutting board to make cleaning easier or for swapping out rather than cleaning the entire board between food types, these should stay put perfectly, as they have pretty good traction even on our slick Corian countertops. Another perk is that these don't come with a giant hole in the corner for hanging. That's so frustrating trying to find a set of mats where food won't be falling through the mat. If we wanted to hang these for storage, I'd much rather drill a small hole in the center of one end or the other, just large enough for the size hook I'm using, to maximize the mats usable surface. I was concerned about the texturing, as some reviewers have indicated concern for it trapping bacteria and making the mats harder to clean. I don't know how they're doing their cleaning, but just wiping them down with a soapy rag, they seem as easy to clean as a smooth mat. The texturing isn't that deep at all. And while it does reduce the visibility of cuts in the mat, it would be unreasonable to expect not to see cuts at all. Even much more expensive self-healing mats can't do that. The only thing we're not crazy about are the colors. They're typical colors for cutting mats. But we'd like to see someone produce entire sets in single or dual color options, where one option or another is more likely to match your room decor. Even black, gray, or white would be preferable to assorted colors, subjectively.
