Great book but probably aimed more at beginners like myself. I am having great fun working through the tutorials which are well laid out and easy to follow.

I bought this to learn how to draw a little better as I’m usually a stick figure kind of gal! Like genuinely terrible! I cannot believe how good the drawings I’ve produced are- only a couple of days in! The photos with this review are only the 3rd and 4th drawings I’ve done using this. I’m so impressed with this book. I highly recommend!

I'm a beginner, whilst my daughter is a 3rd year art student, and we've both found great things about this book. It's packed with helpful techniques, as a beginner I found the shade chart really useful, and I was able to create the effects shown using just this book, it's pictures and descriptions I found excellent. I would recommend this book for all levels, something for everyone, as it does get quite complex and has great tips. It was delivered quickly. Efficient service, great book.

Bought if for a young artists who wants to improve her skills, and she's so far very happy with it. I did think the pictures in the book are not too great.

Wow, I’m honestly not that talented, but following the instructions I’ve managed to produce some incredibly realistic art work. I’ve never had so many compliments. The instructions are easy to follow and I’ve learnt so much about the techniques of drawing with pencils. I defy anyone not to be able to produce something really worthwhile after reading this book.

The photos I’ve added are what I have just created, hours after the book arriving. I am hooked! I’ve never understood shading but this artist takes you through some really easy peasy steps to make your drawings pop! You don’t have to be any kind of expert drawing person (artist). I thoroughly recommend this book. A few weeks on and I’ve progressed. Not sure I’m going to be a portrait artist as I don’t think I have the patience. But I’m still enjoying Jasmina’s books (yes I’ve bought another).

Do not buy. Waste of your money. Quality of paper is bad and half of the book is about the face of a woman.

O livro é explicativo e faz o passo-a-passo de uma forma simples para ser percetível por iniciantes. Aliás, o livro é mesmo para iniciantes, sendo que explica de forma clara o básico. A qualidade da capa é fraquinha e a qualidade das imagens poderia ser melhor, sendo que por vezes parece uma fotocópia sem a qualidade devida. Mas cumpre as funções de ensinar, na perfeição.

As in the titel, a good allround starter. It improved my technique but as with all drawing books it is you who’ ll have to do the exercises.

I’ve always loved drawing but never felt confident in my skills. This book completely changed that! The tutorials are clear, easy to follow, and incredibly encouraging. Practicing with the exercises in this book has not only improved my drawings but also boosted my confidence. Whether you’re just starting out or want to refine your skills, I can’t recommend this book enough. It’s been such a rewarding experience for me!
