My Pomeranian nails got stuck in the wires. Is there a better way to use this?

My yorkie got caught once, so I cut the mesh from the top, as close to the edge as possible because the plastic can be sharp after it's cut. A few pieces of bark may fall out occasionally from his walking, but I feel much better about that than risking he gets stuck when I'm not home. I later made my own box and poured bark into it, once I realized the mesh was not necessary for my dog.

Would this work for rabbits?!? Does the plastic tray fill with pee and need poured out? Replaces 60 pads and not have a tray of pee?

The plastic tray does not fill with pee, rather the “shrubs” that are under the netting absorb the pee. We made it 30 days with a small puppy, 15 once the pup was about 5 months old. Much nicer than the pads :)

This is in the description if you read about how to use it...the dog poops on the bark potty. You let it dry and then pick it up. The description and instructions are very helpful as a resource for use and training
