Tried the C40 and C5, I'm keeping the C5
I purchased both a Yamaha C40 and this Cordoba C5. Packaging for both was minimal. The C40 arrived damaged but the C5 was OK. I thought the C40 was a decent guitar. It had a good sound and playability was good. It did have a strong smell of glue. The C5 on the other hand is a significant step up in quality. It also came with an allen wrench for adjusting the truss rod. It looks like a whole lot more care was taken in building the C5 over the C40. I think ordering a C40 is a hit or miss. If you can afford the step up in price, go for the C5. If not, you may have to order a couple C40s to find a good one. Anyway, I'm holding on to the C5, its a beautiful guitar with nice tone right out of the box.

The C5 is great. Best classical understand $1k
The veneer back and sides, the varnish, and truss rod make this a very durable guitar that is resistant to temperature and humidity changes. The solid spruce top gives great volume and tone. Spending more on a classical will leave you with a more delicate guitar.

Quality a good price bad customer service from Cรณrdoba
I bought this guitar per recommendation of a person who is a guitar player, musician, teacher and luthier I am a beginner, the guitars looks very well made, sounds very good, it came with a little defect from factory but too small that is doesnโt bother me, the expert check it and his comment was all positive, I am enjoying it, sound very good, we just replaced the string for a better quality, recommended for beginners Up date 4/25/24. The small defect mentioned before is getting bigger I will contact the factory. Up date 3/26/25 After the first contact with the factory in California and after sending all the information requested to proceed with the warranty nobody contacted me even after so many emails and calls, the guitar was never fixed, quite disappointed with their service.

Excellent Value
This is a well-built, nice sounding, and easy playing guitar, especially for the money. I'm learning guitar and like many people I find learning easier on a classical guitar, with its wider neck and nylon strings. I already had a Cordoba ukulele which I liked so I thought I'd try the guitar as well. I was not disappointed. No matter how far I progress I suspect I'll hang on to this attractive instrument.

Mediocre
One word, mediocre. Mediocre instruments, materials, mediocre customer service, shipping, company Edit: have to give it one star now. Guitar is super light weight and feels like youโre playing with a toy. That super high action makes the instrument unnecessarily hard to play. Not a proper classical action. Honestly, false advertisement since this instrument is marketed towards the beginner guitarist. You can get a better playing instrument in a cheaper Yamaha model

Beautiful guitar with nice tone.
Guitar looks great. I call it my beautiful blond. When I first got it I almost returned it because it had some fret buzz, but it went away on its own after a couple weeks. Glad I kept it because it has a nice tone. I will say it is not a very loud guitar. But that may be a good thing if this is a student guitar and you are that student's parent.

One side broken
I didnโt know it has the beck edges unglued. Even so it gives good sound but that thing broken there means I have to pay extra money to fix it

Perfect as a beginner student
Smelled great out of the box. Cordoba C5 is what my college classes had for their beginner students to borrow. I'm a newb, so I don't have any sounds to complain about. My teacher can easily create a greater range of volume from her custom-made guitar, but she also paid much, much, much more for it as a professional musician. I don't feel guilty or nervous slightly banging this around.

Awesome tone
Awesome Tone. Trying to learn classical guitar at the age of 38 after 14 years of what was my first attempt. After researching well in internet was looking to buy this guitar. Very nice and balanced tone, my one is with spruce top. Excellent playability. The guitar was delivered in great condition. At 29000 it is nothing but a steal compared to other available guitars in that price range.

Awesome sound and beautiful workmanship
Love my new Codoba C5 SP and excited to own such a Beauty. The sound is awesome as would have been expected from this brand. Strings are easy to tune and to play. Looking to many years of playing this guitar.

Good product but bad quality control or shipping issue
The guitar is good. the action could have a lower setup though. This is probably adjustable. The main issue were these marks (see picture). They seem like pressure points. As if this area of the body was smashed by some weight. I was too lazy do return it, since it plays well. But if you care a lot about the visual you would be more disappointed than I did when I noticed these marks.

Good guitar
You have to get use to everyone calling it an entry level guitar. I am not a beginner or a pro and I think it is a much better guitar than that
