This book is a labor of love. I know because my friend Debbie wrote it. She poured her heart and soul into this magnificent collection of photos and stories. Debbie is a photojournalist in every sense of the word: her photos jump right off the page and her stories behind the pictures put you right there in the middle of the action. She's also a passionate Bruce Springsteen fan. This book is not only a photo tribute to Bruce's stellar career - this one is for the fans.Every Springsteen fan has a story. I have been fowllowing Springsteen since 1975, and I was able to go to my first Sprinsteen concert in 1976..Needless to say, I am a true Springsteen fan~I have traveled all over the US to see his concerts, some of them 10+ times in that one tour.I have read many books that have been written about Bruce and the ESB..butTHIS IS IT!! Debra goes above and beyond any book I have ever read about Bruce..Her story is told from her own personal experience, not random facts or other's opinions. It is HER book OWNS it! Her PASSION for Bruce is way beyond any person I have ever known.Debra "runs" with this book...She takes you on "her" journey and oh... what an amazing journey it is. I too, laughed, cried and went though many emotions while reading this AMAZING book~Debra's photos make you feel as though you are RIGHT THERE at each and every concert. You can just feel the crowd clapping, singing, laughing and having a GREAT time!I have never read or seen such a great book, as this. Every single page is full of wonderful personal information and unbelievable PHOTOGRAPHY, in which only a true person that loves "her" camera, can capture!!!.This is one book that is a MUST HAVE for true Springsteen fans!!! I was so excited to order this book as I have seen Debra Rothenberg's work and it is always amazing. I was thrilled when it arrived and was not disappointed when I opened the package! The book was more impressive than I thought it would be, and I had high expectations to begin with. The book itself is very reasonably priced so I didn't expect anything really high quality as far as the cover, etc. However, this book looks very expensive and high quality and is a great bargain. The pictures inside are superb and although I have not read all of the stories inside, the first few I've read give background to the photographs that make them more real and meaningful. The way Debra has written makes you feel like you were a friend standing at her side watching the shows with her. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Springsteen and it would make a GREAT gift for the upcoming holiday season. Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!!

If you're a fan of Bruce Springsteen, In Focus is a must have. If you're a fan of music, this book deserves your consideration. The unique photos, and expressive writings, explore the career of a musician by a woman who is a intimate fan, as many of us are of our favorite artists. Debbie's photos bring Bruce to life in a way you only thought possible in concert. Dim the light a bit, shuffle your Bruce playlist on iTunes, and let Bruce come to life in your hands. I received this book yesterday and spent a few hours with it late last night...I look forward to reliving it again and again in the weeks, months, and years to come. A wonderful way to spend time with Bruce. A wonderful book by an intensely talented photojournalist.

I have been a Bruce Springsteen Fan for 40 years.....and have gone to his show's since 1976. Debra's book brought tears to my eyes, because it documents for me "this is your life". Bruce got me through so many stages of my life and the photographs that Debra took bring out "our love" of Bruce . Not only does it take a fantastic photographer but a true "diehard fan to capture what Debra has in her book "In Focus". The stories are wonderful the documentation of the tours amazing......I have not stopped reading and looking at Debra's Book since it arrived last week....Bruce Springsteen in Focus is a must have......a true labor of love...Thank you , Debra for this gift......I will cherish the memories you have kept alive forever!!!!!

I ordered this back in February this year. Over a 6 month wait for it. The cover photo is amazing but the contents are at best mundane, lack lustre and unimaginatively edited.At £30 this is hugely over priced.Very disappointing.

This is an average book. I have hoped for more ( and greater) pictures - especially from the 80's. There are too many pictures from clubshows. The greatest of the pictures have already been published in the book 'Backstreets'.A book for the fan, who wants to own everything published.

Overpriced, over-hyped, average pictures, poorly designed,For completists like me only. If you are a casual fan avoid.Wait until remaindered.
