Perfect for Sheild Plus and P365!
Awesome sight for my Shield Plus and P365. Its made of polymer and matches the stipiling on the P365. It comes with a metal cover or guard that gives you more durability and protection from a fall or everyday use. It's compact and fits subcompact pistols well and is ideal for concealed carry. Installation was easy for both pistols and I didn't have to modify or buy an adapter plate. It bolted right up and was easy to adjust. If you have a Sheild Plus or P365, this is the best sight for the money.

Perfect!
I don’t see what the issue is with this red dot. I just got it and it was easy to zero, fits perfect and looks good.

Poor Design Features
This isn't my first Sig red dot and I'm very happy with my other ones. However this one is giving me pause. It's design seems kind of clunky and cheap where it matters. It comes with 2 sets of screws, not sure why since the instructions doesn't say. Only which ones to use and they seem slightly too long. They don't seem to seat well but I'm hesitant to over tighten them. The instructions say to tighten to 9 inch lbs, but who had that tool laying around except a gunsmith. The red dot itself is in a plastic housing that slips into a metal housing for better protection. I'm ok with that, my issue is with the battery. it's loose at the bottom of the plastic housing and relies on the metal housing to hold it in. Not good. Seems to work, but cheaply done. My next issue is a big one to me. The placement of the button that turns it on and also adjusts the brightness. It's inside the housing next to the glass making it impossible for a normal man fingers to reach. As much as I'm tried, I cannot get my finger in far enough to press the button. So how the hell can I turn it on???? Let alone adjust the brightness? I read one review where someone mentioned having to carry a flathead screwdriver to get in there. That's ridiculous! I didn't think that could be true. It is !!! The other issue I have is how you adjust it up or down. My other Sig red dots have a slot that will allow you to use a dime if you're in the field and don't have a screwdriver handy. This one requires a very small allen wrench that is supplied. It's so small and thin, I would be afraid to take it to the range for fear of losing it. Then you're SOL if you need to adjust the sight again. I really had high hopes for this based on my other Sig red dots, but this is in a class by itself. The junk class. If you can't turn it on, why even have it. The down side is I don't know of another Sig red dot that will fit my P365 Macro. However, if I find one by another brand, this one is coming off in a heartbeat. Heck, I may as well take it off now if I can't turn it on. I started out with this at 3 stars but the more I wrote, I couldn't leave it there. This is far from Sig's best work and they should be ashamed to sell this. I'd rather pay more and actually have a functioning red dot that I can turn on and adjust. I can't in all honestly recommend this.

P17 Install - perfect
I mounted this on a Kel Tec P17 with a PLA printed mounting plate. Everything fits nicely inside the P17 slide width, no hangover. Pistol ran perfectly, the sight is very lightweight, especially when mounted without the optional steel protective case. Shake awake works perfectly, easily zeroed and brightness adjusted to present a smaller dot. I am using this for target shooting for the moment so the smallest/dimmest dot works very well. This is the second one I purchased, the other is on a PMR 30 also working well. I wouldn't hesitate to order again.

Motion activated system explained
I initially thought that the Motac system didn't work. 1. You have to turn the red dot on first. It will not turn on automatically from the 'full' off setting. 2. Turns off after 2 minutes of no motion. 3. Auto turn on is VERY sensitive to vibrations ! Just stepping harder while walking towards it, to check whether it turned off automatically, wakes it up... I had to actually sit by motionless to confirm the feature 😊 This means it will always be on while carrying or transporting. Hence I'm doubtful of the advertised battery life. That said, I'm happy with it for the price. The slim profile goes well with my Kimber 1911. If you need a plate, it has the same footprint as DeltaPoint and Shield. Searching for a Romeo Zero plate will yield almost no results. I reached the end of the internet, to find this out, so you don't have to 😊

Quality Sight
I have been a Gunsmith for 44 years and have mounted more RMR type sights than I can remember. The Sig ROMEOzero was very straight forward in its mounting. It was mounted on a Glock 27, .40 S&W utilizing a dovetail mounting plate. The majority of these sights are metal but the ROMEOzero is a polymer housing. This particular mounting was for my personal EDC firearm and I can honestly say I have mounted more different brands than I can remember. I chose the Sig because I wanted a sight that was small but still presented an excellent sight picture. The instructions from Sig were well written and would serve a shooter who has never mounted this type of sight. Of note and great importance is the warning of not to over tighten he mounting screws because it could deform the polymer and cause the sight to malfunction. My first observations were the automatic waking of the sight with the slightest movement. Yes, this is going to cause the sight to be on with the daily movements but off whenever the firearm is still. The presentation of the red dot is very impressive when bringing the firearm up to the shooting position. I found that I needed to bring the intensity of the red dot down to mid level of brightness. Doing so gave excellent presentation in bright sunlight as well as total darkness. I urge the shooter to experiment with this to find what works best for them. Range time revealed the need for sight adjustment. Shooting at a 7 yard distance I fount he elevation to be perfect but I did need to adjust windage to the right. The adjustment screws are well defined with arrows indicating direction of travel. They are also pronounced with a solid felt click for each moment of travel. After adjustments over 50 rounds were fired with the sight holding perfectly. All screws were checked for problems and none found. I am also an NRA pistol instructor and Training Counselor and would urge anyone to consider this sight or one like it for defensive shooting. It gives the shooter faster sight acquisition and far better grouping than standard “iron sights”. Lastly I paid for this and have not been compensated in any way. Be SAFE…..Shoot WELL

Effective, needs to be zeroed out of the box, view-port easily scratched, dubious motion-detection
I put this on a S&W M&P Shield 9 EZ and have used it for 3 months now. It required a separate dove-tail plate adapter (not included here, in fact not even found on Amazon last time I checked). If you didn't know, you need to zero any sight you buy. Do not trust it to be perfectly zeroed from the factory. Mine was waaaay off out-of-box. The windage and elevation screws can be tight at times, so gently use the included hex tool to adjust. I was able to significantly scratch the inside where you look through, the view-port, within a couple days. I don't know from what, I don't blame the product - but just know that it's NOT scratch proof. Surprising the more exposed side, the side you don't look through, is unscratched after 3 months. The view-port also gets easily smudged with dust and oil. Cleaning it requires a soft-cloth and a thin tool in order to reach the edges with the cloth. The button to adjust brightness is NOT easily accessible. It is horribly deep near the actual view-port glass, and you have to press it pretty hard to cycle the brightness. I wish the button was on the sides or back. The red dot itself has perfect low to high brightness, no issue there. It claims to have "motion-detection" which I have observed is true, but sometimes it doesn't turn off as expected. I've put my firearm down on a table for a day, and came back to see that the red dot was still on. I've also observed that the dot does turn off after awhile. So it just seems to be finnicky. Installation was simple. Comes with various screws. Overall decent purchase, does its job, but pretty pricey when it has a handful of issues. 3 stars because of this. Would be 4 stars if it wasn't so expensive, because it's still very functional even with my issues. Edit after 6 months of use: The motion-detection feature seems to completely not work. Perhaps it's detecting the miniscule motions of the Earth, because it just doesn't seem to turn off when inactive. I've put it down in multiple different locations of my house, and the dot stays on several hours after. The battery has already died after 6 months, so I'll need to throw the irons on until I can pickup a new battery. Disappointing, as the motion-detection was the most important feature I wanted.

Excellent addition to my 365 XL
I highly recommend this product. This is a very good optic although the screen is not large the romeo zero works great and is very light and does not add appreciable weight to the 365 XL. The sight was easy to install set up and zero it has held zero. The dot does not wash out in good light but I have only used this at an indoor range. Under low light conditions it is excellent. The fit and finish of this sight matches my 365 XL perfectly, and if I did not install it myself I would have thought the 365 XL came with the sight from the factory. Time will tell if the Romeo zero is as robust as my RMRs which are great optics as I only have about 100 rounds with the Romeo zero on the 365 XL. I do agree that the on and off button is difficult to access if you have chubby fingers, maybe difficult even if your fingers aren't chubby. But the auto off (sleep mode) when the pistol is motionless and auto on when the firearm is picked up negates the reason to use the button. The 365 XL with the Romeo zero sight fits in my Desantis concealed carry holster I bought for use with the original iron sights. Positives: great fit and finish easy to install, easy to zero, holds zero, sight acquisition is faster than iron sights to get on target for follow-up shots. The romeo zero lengthens the effective range of the 365XL as the ability to acquire targets at distance is better and shots are more reproducible than with iron sights. Cons none with the auto sleep and auto on when picked up

Not a good Red dot
The button to turn on and adjust this dot is in a dumb place that causes you to smudge the lens when pushing it. Changing the battery requires removing the sight. Adjustment for windage and elevation gives no feedback and the instructions don't give you much to go on when it comes to zeroing. The only good thing is that it's lightweight but that's because it's all plastic. Just save up for a better red dot
