Possible to get working with Philips Hue.
Despite the clear warning in the title, I have been able to successfully get the lamp to pair with my Philips Hue bridge (and be controlled by it) using the ZigBee Light Link Touchlink process, which you can trigger using some third-party apps, like "Hue Lights". It requires bringing the lamp very close to the bridge and initiating a touchlink action via the app. Pairs just fine. The remote can be paired, too, but it can only be used to control the light directly (while still allowing the lamp to be controlled by the philips hue bridge). Pairing it is a little more complicated, taking four steps. First you must reset the remote by holding down the reset button with a paperclip for 10 seconds. Second, you must simultaneously (while holding it close to the bridge) initiate a touchlink process while holding down the on button for 10 seconds. Third, you must hold down the on-button while holding down the bridge button (bridge button will blink). Finally, you can pair the remote to your lamp by holding down the on button close to the lamp. It works with other Philips Hue lights, too! Just be careful: the only way to remove a light from the remote is to start over and re-pair all lights except the one you don't want.

Works with hue!
Updating my review to 5 stars.I just purchased the philips hue 2 bulb starter pack that includes 2 color bulbs and the bridge a few days ago, I did some research and found a way to connect this to the bridge. It’s been working great so far, it even showed up in HomeKit, so I can have Siri control it just like the new philips lights. I added a photo of the lamp by itself and one with the two hue bulbs on either side on.I returned the faulty light I originally received, and ordered a new one. The new one works great, I plugged it into a smart plug so now it’s like a ghetto hue bloom. I am very happy with this. Original review:I’m pretty sure I got a faulty light. It turns a warm white/yellow color when I plug it in, and the remote control is not doing anything to change the color or turn it off or on. I tried resetting the remote, and unpairing and repairing it with no change. I also put brand new batteries in the remote, the light lights up on the remote like it’s working, but it just doesn’t do anything. If the colors would cycle, I could deal with the remote not communicating, but I am not keeping this with the color not changing.

Beautiful lighting with a noisy fatal flaw
Light:The Philips LivingColors Generation 2 produces excellent lighting with very little energy. Unlike other multicolor LED bulbs I've seen, the light is perfectly blended, reasonably bright, and extremely vivid. Shadows cast by the light appear natural, with no aberrations, and the pure white light it generates is soft and pleasant.Remote:The remote does not require a direct line of sight and is capacitive (like a touchscreen). It uses an odd number of batteries (3 AAA), which is kind of annoying. The remote has separate controls for on/off, brightness, saturation, and tint. It also has a cycle mode. As other reviewers note, without the remote the light will not function. The first time I tried to use the light, the remote did not work at all. I had to remove and re-insert the batteries to get it to function. The remote also may stop functioning in the presence of wifi, though this building is saturated with wifi and aside from the initial hiccough I never had trouble getting the remote to work.Construction:The light and remote both feel reasonably solid, despite being made entirely out of plastic. However, the fatal flaw of the Philips LivingColors Gen 2 (and I got two of them to make sure it was not just a single-unit defect) seems to be cheap electronics. The front of the lamp emits a loud, high-pitched ringing noise that sounds almost like a mosquito. Since the light bounces off walls, and the sound comes from the same place as the light, this means that the sound also bounces off the walls, so it is very noticeable, especially in smaller rooms where the light otherwise excels. This awful sound is the sole reason why this light gets 2 stars instead of 5 and is being returned by me.

Philips vs Equinox
When the box arrived, the outer cardboard box was in bad shape (FedEx's fault most likely). All the edges were flattened and dents everywhere. Luckily, the interior box for the lamp looked like it was in much better condition. However when I took out the lamp, it made creaking noises. It looks like it's coming out from the upper part of the lamp where the plastic pieces are touching. So whenever I move this thing or carry it around somewhere, it will make creaking noises, which I found very annoying. That was the only issue that bothered me with this lamp.I also previously purchased and returned a similar product from Equinox. There is only 2 factors the Equinox had over the Philips. First it's cheaper by $40 dollars at the time of this review, and the design looks much more "cooler" and bigger than the Philips. However, the Philips has a much, much better remote. The remote is still not perfect, but it works heaps better than the Equinox. Additionally, I liked how the power cord plugs in to the back of the lamp instead of being built in like the Equinox. Since the remote control is a very important aspect for these types of lamps, the Philips outshines the Equinox just because it has a more functional remote. Now the ideal lamp that I would want is the Equinox design with the Philips remote (or better) at a cheaper price. After purchasing this though, I can't say that it's worth $140. I kind of bought this on impulse because I wanted to add some ambiance to my room and this looks artsy on top of it. After buying, I came to the realization that this is just overpriced. It's not worth it in my opinion to blow this amount of money on a color changing lamp. It's probably better to buy those color changing bulbs at a fraction of what this costs. I give this 3 stars because price is a huge factor.

デザインは好き
living colorシリーズはいくつか出ていますが、他の物と比べると少し光量が控え目です。デザインは好きですが、光のインパクトを求めるなら球体型のlivingcolorやGoのタイプの方がオススメです。
