Brilliant purchase, just what i had been shopping for. Ideal size for my flat white glass makes a change and keeps very clean and you can hold and enjoy a hot coffee without burning fingers. I would highly recommend this item

Great price and great product. Washes up well and doesnt loose too much heat given its plastic. Perfect for flat white size coffee.

Having tried a few different brands of travel mug with varying success, I decided to give the Bodum mug a go. It's a decent size and will hold around the same amount of liquid as an average mug. The main part of the cup is clear, double wall plastic with a black silicone sleeve so that you can hold it without worrying about your hand slipping. The lid screws on and has a silicone seal to prevent leakage. On the top of the lid is a plastic 'arm' that can be swivelled into place. You can have it cover the drinking hole, which will then be sealed with a small silicone stopper, or out of the way while you drink. It clicks into place and won't move. The outer wall of the cup doesn't get too hot to hold even when it's filled with nearly boiling liquid. A hot drink will stay very hot for a long time once the lid is on and the stopper in place. I have two criticisms to make about this cup though. On top of the lid, to one side, is a tiny hole. I guess this is to prevent pressure build up inside the cup once the lid is screwed on and it serves the purpose well. However, even though the drinking hole is sealed with a stopper when the arm is clicked into place, the tiny steam hole is only covered and not sealed. By design, this will prevent pressure inside the cup, but it also means that if the cup is tipped over, some liquid will escape. The cup is not 100% leak proof. The other issue I have is that this hole often gets clogged, espeically if you're drinking something like hot chocolate. When you try to drink, you have to bear in mind that if this hole is blocked, the liquid can be hard to drink. I find blowing gently into the drinking hole can unblock the tiny vent and make drinking easier. The drinking hole is small and recessed into the lid. If you have a very hot drink in the cup, it can be difficult to control the flow into your mouth. If you put your tongue against the hole and tip the cup, the hot liquid will scald your tongue. If you just have your mouth over the hole and tip the cup, you can have enough hot liquid pour from the cup into your mouth, again scalding you slightly. This is all because you can't see the liquid in the cup while you drink and so it's impossible to guauge properly how far to tip before the liquid leaves the cup. This will make perfect sense when you scald your tongue or lips a few times! :) All in all, for the price, I'm very happy with the cup. The leaking isn't a big issue because the vent hole is tiny and not much liquid will escape if you drop or tip the cup. But, some will. Be careful drinking anything hot from it until you are used to the placement of the drinking hole.

Great item, does as expected

Very happy with this travel mug. Looks good, feels good. Lightweight and good size. I wasn’t looking for a serious leak proof cup, just something lightweight and stylish to keep drinks warm and contained.

Handy if you want to use almost straight away as keeps warm for a short while. Bought to take coffee enroute to work so does that fine. Drinking spout could be better but guess we all vary in different ways. It was cheap and lid not leak proof, hence 3 stars as full filled my needs mostly.

I initially bought this because I have a habit of spilling my drinks due to arthritis in my hands. For that it's been perfect. What I didn't know was exactly how well insulated it is, I can leave it for almost an hour and it will still be fairly hot. Amazing little mug for the price.

plastic feel:- no good, light weigth, doubts it will keep drinks hot or warm over time, not sure it will lasts the daily wear n tear of holding, travelling, lids quality also doubtful, looks glass:-like but does not feel like so, might not lasts amonth, loose lid,

It spilled in my backpack. Make everything dirty and destroy my shirt.

Great cup to take coffee or tea to work in your bag.

The lid of the mug does not sit snugly on the body, making the mug useless for the stated purpose. Attempts to get a replacement have been unsuccessful. Very disappointed by the item and the consequent after sales service.

War auf der Suche nach einer To-Go-Kaffeetasse für meine Radreisen. Dieser Becher ist absolut perfekt dafür. Ich mag die üblichen Alu- oder Emailletassen, die im Outdoorbereich angeboten werden, überhaupt nicht und wollte ein leichtes Material, welches ich ohne Bruch zum restlichen Campinggeschirr in die Fahrradtaschen packen kann, und welches sich an der Lippe beim Trinken angenehm und etwas dicker anfühlt. Der Becher liegt außerdem sehr angenehm in der Hand und das Getränk bleibt für die Dauer des Genusses schön heiß, bzw. warm. Den Deckel hätte ich nicht unbedingt gebraucht, aber er ist natürlich praktisch, damit nichts hineinfliegt, falls man den gefüllten Becher mal kurz am Zelt stehen lässt. Ich mag jedenfalls, dass man ihn aufschraubt und das Gewinde innen liegt. So bleibt er stabil auf, schützt den Rand des Bechers und stört es die Haptik und den Look nicht. Dass er nicht ganz dichtet, wie von einigen Kunden beklagt, empfinde ich als normal bei To-Go-Bechern, da der Becher nicht für die Mitnahme von Getränken im Rucksack gedacht ist. Für mich ist der Joy Cup perfekt und ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen. Wir haben ihn in schwarz und in weiß (creme) genommen, so hat jeder seinen eigenen :)
