Wrangler Authentics Men's Long Sleeve Sherpa Lined Shirt Jacket

The Wrangler Authentics Long Sleeve Sherpa Lined Shirt Jacket looked great and seemed well made. My husband is 6'0" and about 195 lbs, and the large fit him well. The sherpa lining felt warm and comfortable, and the overall quality was good for the price. The plaid pattern looked just like the photos, and it worked well as a lightweight jacket for cooler weather. It was comfortable to wear and looked nice on him. The only reason we didn't keep it was because we found another jacket that he liked better. There was nothing wrong with this one—it just came down to personal preference. If you like the style, it's a solid option.

Quick background, I'm a gal, 5'9" about 165 lbs. I have broad shoulders and big chest. Women's clothing over the years has gotten smaller for some reason and I almost need a 2x to have tops fit me, then they don't fit right in all places. I'll pick up men's tshirts and tops like these a lot (note, they're usually cheaper too compared to womens) and usually can go with a large, occasionally an XL depending on the brand/material. I don't like snug fitting tops, I like to have room to move around. I went with an XL for this shirt/jacket to be on the safe side and in case of any shrinkage when it gets washed/dried. Could've gotten away with a L. It's like a dress on me lol. XL covers well below my butt. But it's roomy, it's warm, and I don't care. It's thicker and soft inside. Only complaint, no idea why these companies don't make the "sherpa" or fleece lining in the sleeves?? The sleeves are lined with just a basic thicker polyester type material. It's warm still, but seeing as I'm usually wearing a short sleeve tshirt underneath, it'd be nice to feel the fleece on my arms. I'm thinking it's too difficult to include the fleece in that part? Or to save money? No clue. They all do it though, and it's disappointing. But I saw that on other reviews, so knew it going in. Very happy with this jacket though. Got one as a gift for my dad as well. He loves it.

Size: Large. I'm 5'11", 195 lbs and I never know whether a Large or X-Large would be the right choice, but after reading the reviews I chose Large, and that was the correct choice in this case. Plenty of chest room, perhaps a little too much gut room but that's the nature if this style. There's room underneath it for layering if not too bulky, the only exception might be the cuffs which button tight. Weight: I was looking for something that might be closer to a shirt than a jacket on the shirt-jac spectrum and again, this didn't disappoint. It's not as bulky as some other quilted shirt-jacs I've had, it hangs more like a shirt and is more relaxed. Yet it appears to have the much of the warmth of bulkier items in that class. So it can be worn on it's own as a shirt around the house or cooler weather outside, but can be more easily layered under a coat when you need serious warmth. If you're looking for more of a jacket then you may want to look elsewhere. Quality: No issue with the stitching, no loose threads, the buttons align and the button holes aren't over or under-stitched. The lining is like an old teddy bear and has warmth. I suspect that issues with the lining shrinking (or expanding) at a different rate than the flannel might be true if improperly washed/dried, but the care instructions explicitly state to wash cold and tumble or line dry and I'm not going to be pushing that particular enve;ope So I got exactly what I was looking for, in fact I'm going to order another. I recommend the shirt.

This is a nice jacket. It’s heavier than what I was looking for, but I’ve put it to good use for yardwork, car repair, even walks. Apparently, this is not intended to be a traditional shirt-jacket, which serves as an outer layer, but can still be tucked in if it’s the only layer over a t-shirt. Pros: It’s warm! The faux-fleece lining covers the torso, not the sleeves, which is good. The sleeves have a quilted lining. I would prefer no lining at all in the sleeves, but at least I know this is warm. Feels nice and soft. Has two button pockets in the upper chest in the normal position. AND has two “hand warmer” pockets in the waist position. These were unexpected, and are a great addition! I bought the “birch” color, and it is conservative and attractive. Autumn leaves don’t stick to it as badly as to my other three shirt-jackets. They still stick a little, but not bad. When dirty, I just run it through normal washing machine and dryer, works fine. Cons: The collar is mighty thin and narrow for a jacket this warm. Needs a thicker, wider collar. Unless you have an underlayer which covers your neck, you will need a scarf or bandana to cover your neck. Likewise, the cuffs are thin, almost like they were an afterthought. Runs large. This is not a shirt-jacket. You can’t tuck it in to your jeans when wearing just a t-shirt. Overall: All in all, a good jacket. These run large, so order one size smaller.

Just received my second one in a different color!!! They’re great!!! This short jac is just fantastic. A bit on the larger side but that’s what ya want with a work shirt — has just enough extra space — a relaxed fit, allowing for desirable arm movement Quilted lining in sleeves = EZ on/off. The Sherpa lining is a nice cozy comfy & warm lining. Jacket is very light & very warm. Great for working around yard outside. Was warm even in low 30’s while I ran out to walk the dog. Side pockets are a great addition — not very deep & no zippers … they’d make it perfect — but absolutely no regrets!!

This shirt literally saved my grandfathers life. He is 94 and had an episode of confusion, found his spare truck keys (his main keys were taken by family years ago when he could no longer drive) at 4:30am one morning and went for a joy ride in snow and ice. He came home and fell into the window, breaking it and leaving tons of jagged glass. This shirt saved his life as the thickness not only kept him warm on his ‘adventure’, but it also prevented the glass from cutting him. Not to mention, the shirt looks super sharp on him! He loves it. Thank you very much for a great quality shirt!

True to size

My husband needed a warm jacket for working in his auto shop. We thought the nylon lining in the sleeves would make it easier to slip on over a sweatshirt, and it does. The fleece lining is quite warm, he loves it. A note, some reviewers report that the shirt runs large. Because of this I ordered a 2XL rather than the usual 3XL. I would say the shirt runs true to size rather than large, kind of wish I had ordered 3XL after all but it works ok for him, not worth returning it.

La camisa es perfecta, me quedo un POCO más grande de lo esperado, pero no me importa mucho, prefiero que sea un poco más grande, que un poco más chica. El relleno de "Sherpa" es calído y comodo, aunque las mangas de los brazos tienen una textura similar al impermeable, supongo para proteger en caso de que uno se lave las manos y las mangas se mojen; la camisa también sirve bien para cuando el clima es templado sí uno la abre y la utiliza con otra camisa. Me gusta este aspecto de ella en donde la camisa puede servir para distintas situaciones y climas, es una prenda versatil en mucho aspectos. Lo que no me gusto fue la entrega, primero en noviembre el repartidor cancelo mi pedido despues de un singular intento de entrega, este mes pido la camisa, llega a mi casa un día antes de lo programado y cuando le pido que por favor venga al día siguiente, me deja esperando en la casa por tres días seguidos. Llego a dejarla el sabado, le pedí que la entregara el domingo, termino trayendola el martes; ha este punto no se si fue el mismo repartidor que me antendio; pero en cualquier caso, parecen hacer esto para darse un buen fin de semana, o alternativamente, para juntar paquetes y organizar las entregas como a ellos les plazca.

This is a nice shirt, it's affordable, warm and cozy and looks good too...I'm really enjoying it, I bought one for my partner and he really likes it as well.
