I’m chemically sensitive, and this is pure bliss with zero harshness. How it all went down - I am new to espresso making, so I am sure I can improve but wanted to share where I am starting from Whole beans Bought myself a Christmas present, the Barraza ESP pro (have never owned a grinder and ground my own before) Used a BREVILLE Bambino Plus espresso machine (with the plastic ripped out of the portafilter and pre warmed before the shot) 16.8 g of coffee beans, ground on 18.5 on the grinder, final weight of grounds was 16.5 g Tamped to the point that the razor (scraper that comes with the machine) didn’t move any grounds Used filtered water See in the photo that the darkness of the roast, the one on the right is the Puroast and the one on the left is Illy’s dark roast Intenso. I would say the Puroast is darker than Illy’s medium and lighter than the dark Intenso. Next i’m going to buy it directly from Puroast and let them know. I’m using it for espresso. They might make it a little bit different, although I can’t imagine it could be improved.

I’ve purchased several years now, even giving it away for gifts. This coffee produces the ABSOLUTE BEST low acid coffee. Aroma - taste - caffeine and my stomach & breathing are so much better. Tip for acid reflux sufferers: do it as cold brew and it’s even less acidic. And yes… You can heat it up after the cold brewing. THANK YOU PUROROAST!!

As a life long coffee drinker I must say I really enjoyed this coffee. It has no bitterness at all and I had 3 big cups and no stomach issues. So I would say the acid is indeed low. It is not your run of the mill Folgers. It has a slightly sweet after taste and a chocolaty aroma, but in our house all four of us like it very much. I will be re-ordering!!

My first package arrived empty , i was pretty upset , with that said , i would like to appologize to the customer service rep , so they refunded my money and sent a new order free of charge So , this company is great the coffee is really good tasting and it is very easy on the stomach. You don't get the jitters like you do with regular coffee. I just made my third order today.

I really like this coffee but the last two orders the beans have been over roasted and the coffee tastes like burnt tobacco. When roasted correctly the beans are lighter but when over roasted the beans are much darker. It's frustrating because there aren't a lot of options for flavored low acid coffee and the taste is great when not over roasted but after 2 bad batches, I'm going to have to look elsewhere if the next order comes in burnt.

Excellent coffee, the spices ability to grind what you need from the beans and have a nice fresh cup of coffee with the spices and low acidity are an excellent mix. Highly recommend.

I've been buying this brand for a while and have been generally pleased with it. It's a good flavor and generally a good price. However, since the price of the roast I was buying increased, I decided to switch out to a different roast. I ordered the mocha Java because the price was decent, and having had it before in other brands, I know it is a roast that I like. Unfortunately, upon receiving this I realized that what they are calling mocha Java is not a roast at all, but some sort of weird flavoring additive like hazelnut. Let me emphasize that true moka Java is NOT a flavored coffee. I hate flavored coffees and I absolutely would not have purchased this if I knew that was the case. How can coffee roasters actually know so little about coffee? This item is not returnable because it is a food item. I'm so annoyed by this I may not buy this brand at all any more. I'm stuck with a huge bag of unusable beans now.

I switched to low-acid coffee a year ago after I had an ulcer. I tried a few different brands, and settled on this one. Affordable and smooth. Even my coffee-snob friends like it.
