Solved Groud Loop buzzing and hum in my Home Theater set up!
Life saver. I did a fairly expensive upgrade. Added a Panamax 5400, Parasound Halo Integrated am and a Outlaw 5000 amp. Everything plugged into the Panamax, TV, Dacs, CD Player, Blue ray player, roku, modem, router and switch. I ran my Denon amp through the Halo via Home Theater Bypass and I noticed a horribly loud buzzing sound. Also a very faint hum from all in puts in the halo. I determined my source of ground loop noise was from my router which has Ethernet running to the TV, Denon, Roku and Blue Ray player. I ran this unit between the Denon and the Halo and not only did it take away the buzz, also removed all hum from that input. I still get a very faint hum from the other inputs, so I'm going to continue to play around. But this unit, especially for the price is amazing.

Do not deliver original quality of sound
It works for reducing hum and buzz sound but it change sound quality. It will cut bass and high frequency sound. Eventually it sounds like very unnatural. If you like sound quality, it will be very disappointed. Use it if you want to only reduce hum and buzz sound with giving up sound stage and density and quality.

Transparent performance.
ISO-200: Surprisingly good sound quality when connecting my iFi Zen Phono stages balanced output to an unbalanced input on my Wyred 4 sound integrated amp. Now the Zen's capabilities show through- lightning fast dynamics with a huge sound-stage. Note: I did have to create my own male 4.4mm to female XLR adapter to connect the Zen phono to the ISO-200. You can also find a combo of adapters on Amazon if you can't make your own (4.4mm male to XLR male). GLI-200: I used this version to go inline between the front Pre Out jacks of my Surround Receiver and the Theater Bypass input of my Integrated amplifier. I was getting some grungy distortion riding on what was probably bit of ground loop hum. This isolator ELIMINATED the noise, making the front channels actually sound better. I'm usually wary of adding extra parts to a signal path- but in this case: Improvement! Very recommended, especially for the price.

Annoying hum is finally gone!
I have 2 Polk Audio subwoofers in my system. The signal to them is unshielded wiring installed through the ceiling /walls to the rear of the room. They both hummed like they were trying to win a contest and drove me crazy(er) for years. I tried many suggestions from home theater guru sites to no avail. Found this filter and took a chance. Finally I can have that deep bass in music and rumbling effects and explosions in movies. I may buy a second filter for the audio system in my man cave garage where I have an old Radio Shack 10” powered sub upgraded with a JBL speaker in it. It hums badly too. I do recommend this filter if your woofer is a hummer.

Cleaned nearly all buzzing, very good built quality
This looks and feels very high quality. Being able to use your own RCAs in AND out is a huge bonus if your install is visible. I was having a TON of buzzing through all speakers after installing a Dayton DSP-408. I tried getting better grounds on all my amps and even other things in the car but nothing worked. After installing this in-line with the DSP's INPUT RCAs, nearly all the buzzing vanished. There's still a very high pitched buzz, but this product worked better than I expected. I'd suggest giving this a try.

Good signal conversion but not so good hum isolation
I bought this earthquake sound ISO-200 box to try and eliminate ground loop hum at 120 Hz. I knew the hum was likely due to my PC graphics card or a DP to HDMI cable output to myTV, but even without the PC to TV HDMI connection, I still got hum. Anyway, this box will convert your RCA input to XLR and it works, but the ground loop isolation is not that good. I still heard a 120 Hz hum (though not as bad) with my PC on, and I was only able to fix it by buying a more expensive RCA to RCA Jensen Iso-Max CI-2RR RCA Stereo Line Input Isolator Hum Eliminator from Parts Express. There were situations when I tried to use the PC to TV HDMI cable where the earthquake sound ISO-200 actually amplified the hum. I don’t know why amazon doesn’t sell the Jensen Iso-Max CI-2RR (I couldn’t find it anyway), but with it there was like almost 0 noise coming from my speakers when i used it with two sets of 1.5 ft cables, and that’s with my ear right next to the speaker listening for hum.

Did not function as expected
I was optimistic that this device would remove the RF or hum associated with my turntable set up based on all the good reviews. My set up is as follows: Technics TT to Vincent tube pre-amp out to Tube equalizer out to Tube amp and finally out to AV receiver. Once installed, I noticed a loss in audio fidelity including bass. When I disconnected a reverted to my standard set up without the Earthquake, volume was louder, bass returned. The RF noise/hum was present with or without this device and really noticeable at high volume like 50db so it really didn't do anything except lower audio fidelity. Not sure why. I attempted setting up earthquake between TT and phono pre amp and got the worst noise, They I set up between phono pre-amp and equalizer and although audio passed through, fidelity was lost and apparent. Then I set up between tube amp and AV receiver, and same result with a loss in fidelity. Note that I have installed my internet router and internet connections as far away as possible from turntable and amps buy somehow get this weird RF signal. So the saga will continue for me. I will surely appreciate any tips!

Balance to unbalance audio interfacing.
Works as described. I used this to connect a balance powered speaker to my computer.

Fixed the problem
TLTR: It worked like a charm in my case. Professional here. Had a massive hum problem on a high end system. Since this might help some of you I'll try to quickly describe the system. It was a high end stereo system incorporated into a home theater system. When listening to music the stereo system was using an integrated stereo amp with 2 digital sources and one analog source, no problems there. When the stereo system was switched to watch movies or TV, HT bypass was engaged on the integrated stereo amp and a surround sound receiver would handle all the audio and video processing. Important note, the surround sound receiver was connected to the integrated stereo amp via RCA connectors coming from left and right Pre Out outputs. The problem was I had a massive hum coming from projector's HDMI cable (8K certified optical HDMI cable). Couldn't fix it no matter what. Decided to give this thing a try and all the hum was gone just like that. The system is silent now. Would not hesitate to buy again.

Great di box.
Bought this to convert rca unbalanced audio signals to xlr balanced audio signals and this works flawlessly and sounds excellent, it is heavy for the size and is well built and quite rugged. Build quality is excellent and is at a excellent price. I will definately reccomend this to anyone. Update: I have been using this unit for a little over a year now and it has not given me one lick of trouble and it introduces no humm, buzz, or distortion to the audio signal and it sounds fantastic and is a great piece of audio equipment to convert unballanced to ballanced or the other way around. It is well worth the price as some reviews mentioned a hum or buzz noise, as it could be a ground loop in their system and I had nothing but good luck with this di box.
