Great product!
I used this 6” flashing on the roof of my insulated alumawood patio cover seams. It was easy to apply and worked out perfectly. The old flashing was 4” so I ordered the 6” so I would have a 2” coverage on either side. The reason I replaced it was the old flashing was starting to curl in a few places so I cut out the curl to make it as smooth as Possible. The patio cover is 15 years old and I’m sure this product should last as long. It looks like the same as the old flashing.

BEST MEMBRANE TAPE EVER
This membrane tape is worth every penny. Fantastic quality with a supreme very tacky adhesive that makes it a little tricky to work with it in terms of releasing it into its proper position as flashing for my roof. Nevertheless, it was worth the effort. The 4” width roll was surprisingly heavy in weight. Minutes after installation, it started raining heavily and no leaks. This is a great product.

Used to cover beat up flashing along 50' wall
Flashing along wall was really beat up (lots of patched holes, edge no longer sealed to roof, etc.) as it was not replaced when I had my roof reshingled. In hindsight I should have had that done at the time; however, doing so would have been a big job. I was getting ready to get out the caulking gun, several tubes of roofing seal, and a gallon of rubberized roofing cement when I came across FLASHBAND which looked like a superior solution. Flashing was 5" wide so I overlapped two courses of the 4" FLASHBAND (about 50'). I installed the lower course first which extended an inch or more over the shingles below the flashing edge and then the upper course overlapping the lower course by an inch per the directions. I had already removed all the old cement patches (big bumps) and screwed down the flashing edge with 1 1/2" deck screws so the surface would be clean and smooth. The FLASHBAND went down very easily and adhered really well to the shingles and flashing. Time will tell how well it holds up. The 4 stars for installation ease was due to the thin foil backing which would frequently separate while unrolling the FLASHBAND - minor annoyance. Two of the 4 rolls I purchased had sturdier clear cellophane backing which did not separate at all so it looks like the manufacturer already rectified that problem. I plan on spray painting it black later. Only beef is that I was unable to get large width FLASHBAND from Amazon. Several widths are manufactured but only 4" is available on Amazon.

Much better quality and durability than expected
I have a flat single story roof in Southern California that is approximately 35 years old. Two small sections have been replaced over the years and the roof is otherwise ok. Two years ago, a section three feet from a skylight developed a significant leak during heavy rain in 2023. I discovered a split/crack in the roofing material 12 to 14 inches long and about 1/3 inch wide. I asked for a roofing repair estimate and learned that the roofer that I have used for many years had retired and sold his roofing business to some younger roofers. The new roofer first highly recommended a completely new roof for $20k (this is for a small 1100 square ft single story house) when I responded absolutely not, they the wanted $1500 to repair the leak. I bought a can of Flex Seal along with this tape membrane. I sealed the crack with flex seal and applied the BXI flashing in about 10 minutes time. So far during the last two years since I made the repair, we have had four or five major rain storms each lasting several days. Not one drop of rain has entered the home. I spent a total of $30 for this tape and the flex seal. I ended up giving the rest of the tape to a friend a work who sealed multiple leaks on their potting shed. I have no idea if it would work for significantly larger repairs but, if you can locate where the water is intruding, and the area is not too large, this product may provide several years of peace of mind.

Used it as flashing where deck is mounted to house. A little difficult to shove under siding but that's on me. Overall sticks great, didn't rip and sealed where needed.
