Check if the model number on your camera is compatible
After a lot of research and information, we were sure this Teleconverter lens was compatible with the OM (Olympus) camera that we have. The write-up and reviews for this lens contributed to the decision to purchase said lens. However, what is not made clear is that this Teleconverter lens is for an older model of camera than the one we have. There is a slight model number difference that is not clearly stated in the description. We have returned the item as it is incompatible with the camera model. Our camera is the latest version of OM Systems. When looking to purchase this item, check the full serial numbers.

Great lens at a good price.
Excellent, looks good and fits perfectly! Recommended for extending the reach of your Oly zoom. Only works on 40-150m and 300mm. Sharp results. Use it more often than the MC 14.

Exceptional Performance
It works brilliantly with both the 40-150mm f2.8 and 300mm f4 Pro lenses, providing clarity and contrast at near native-lens levels. Obviously there is a loss of light (putting the lenses maximum aperture to f5.6 and f8 respectively) and an accompanying slight loss in autofocus speed and accuracy, but this is an impressive little piece of glass. Anyone familiar with the MC14 1.4x teleconverter will be right at home with this.A word of caution: the 300/4 lens becomes a 600mm lens with this, or 1200mm in full-frame camera terms. If you have not used a lens in this range before, it takes a lot of adjustment to being able to find your subject. The field of view is so narrow that significant practice is necessary to be able to sight your target.But I did get a picture of Jupiter this evening with bands of cloud and the great red spot visible... handheld.

Good product, careful with the price
I use compatible lenses, happy to get it then the price went down 41% the next day 600 to 400....Pissed off, don't pay more than 450. With the right lenses it's a good product.

Providing extra reach...
This 2x teleconverter is a lightweight solution to extend the reach of Olympus 100-400mm to 200-800mm. However, I used it only when lighting is good and the subject is beyond the reach of 400mm, as the largest aperture becomes f13. Focusing is still quite fast and accurate on EM1 mkii which I am using, even in indoor lighting.
