N64 to HDMI Converter Adapter Support 16:9/4:3 Conversion, HDMI Link Cable for N64 /SNES/NGC/SFC（Plug and Play）

So I had that urge to revisit some old school nostalgic gaming, but let's be honest, they weren't designed for modern technology obviously. Hence where this little device comes in. While it's stated for the N64, I bought it to use for my SNES as the connection is identical. Read some reviews, and decided to try it myself. Was not disappointed. First main thing to consider is the fact it also uses a USB port to power the entire system. Thankfully my TV has that slot available. What I do question is the fact upon connecting to the back of my unit, it powers the system immediately. That's right, even when the unit is suppose to be turned off. So you have to disconnect the cable in the back to power it back off. While I'm not a fan of this, it works, and that's really all that matters for a 30 year old console. Secondly, it took a few minutes to get it to actually work. From a black screen to blue screen. But hit my Reset on the console and sure enough, game fired up with ease. Outside of that classic need to blow into the cartridge to get it to work. Third, picture and sound have been on point. The device has a setting for 16.9 or 4.3 ratio, and I've had it on 16.9. Seeing the game on my TV again, looking the way they did when I was a kid is absolutely amazing. And on a 55inch TV makes my inner child scream with delight lol. Finally, so far it's worked great as intended and would recommend it. I do wonder if the powering from the device will have some long term effect, my console is 30 years old. But I believe it will be fine. In truth, this device has only fueled my desire to now go after more games to add to my collection. And with cartridges that hold 100+ games, my excitement is just that much more increased.

Sound works for Mario Kart, but I can't see anything. Perfect Dark worked perfect however! Because there is clearly issues with some games, as much as it is handy, I have to give 3 stars. Edit: After checking again, it seems I was using a PAL game when I should have been using NTSC. After I used the correct one, the game worked as expected. Keep this in mind!

My husband and I love to play older games on the Nintendo NES system. Prior to getting the HDMI converter, the game would lose connection, or the screen would fade in and out making the game not as much fun. Once we received the converter, we hooked it up and it brought new life to our NES system. It was unbelievable the difference it made. We have so much fun playing these old games! We do use it for the NES system but it also works with the Nintendo N64-that we have tried. Super easy to hook up. If you enjoy playing these older games and are having issues with your system, give this a try.

Did not come with the listed micro-usb cable to power the system. FRIED THE POWER SUPPLY ON MY GAMECUBE!!! Idgaf about fixable blue screen errors, this thing pulls way more power than it should and when powering on my GameCube with the converter connected to power, it shorted the power supply. I was powering on the system first, then connecting power to the converter because leaving the converter plugged in with the system off still left residual power, enough to leave the LED lit. But I forgot ONE TIME to unplug the micro-usb in between uses, hit the power button on the GameCube, and no response. Even when unplugging everything, switching cables, switching outlets. DO NOT BUY Edit: after reading a couple more one star reviews, this is a *common* issue with the system sending power back into the GameCube and frying several others.

Does the job. Quality will suffer when you use this. It’ll always look best on an original CRT tv.

Got for grandkids, they love it

I bought this in hopes of bringing my N64 back to life… seeing the reviews was a gamble and I’m glad I took the chance because I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! Once everything was plugged in, my beloved old console came back to life. Thank you for bringing back such happy old memories and now I get to share them with my own child. For people complaining about the graphics, they are AMAZING considering we didn’t have the graphics we have now when we had these old consoles. It is even better at the fact that we can switch between how we used to play or utilize the whole tv (my child’s preference right now 🤣 while I’m still stuck on my old ways) THANK YOU for this product!! It was well worth the money spent!

This adapter works great for bringing my N64 back to life on a modern TV. Setup was super easy. Just plug and play. The picture quality is much clearer and I like having the option to switch between 16:9 and 4:3. It’s not perfect HD (as expected) but it’s a big improvement over the old connections. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to enjoy classic N64 games on newer TVs!

Product does not work well at all. Color is all washed out, and video output keeps blinking like its the wrong refresh rate, even though it detected the correct one. Tried on both available aspect ratios. Tried on multiple TVs with multiple N64 decks. Product is a dud unfortunately.

Nice and easy to install

Blue screen. Unplugged and reconnected every port for 3 days, and nothing. Took 3 weeks to be able to return, in the end seller did not collect, but Amazon provided a refund.

Tried this on the SNES. Product works but the video quality could be better.

I was soo excited to play my console on HD, oh well the adapter doesn't work for my N64, shows a blue screen no matter what, tried my SNES, same deal, blue screen, says you don't need power, tried both alternatives, used a 180$ monster HDMI I have for my home audio/video for my projector / theatre system, tried different cables, so back to the original RCA plugin until I find one that works, my consoles are old, but I'm the original owner with receipts and they work so long as I use cables included RCA, I think I'll return this and get an RCA to HD converter instead, was trying to finally throw out this old tube tv, but I'll hang onto it for now so my kids can continue to enjoy my old games.
