This tape FEELS expensive
it’s always nice when you can feel your money has gone into the build of the product. This is some thick and good quality tape, you will not be winding and winding it around any pipe stems. Nope. You won’t be tearing it off with your teeth or fingers either. You will be meeting it out in small increments, cut with scissors, and carefully wrapping it around the pipe in just the right measured amount, because that is all you need, and otherwise it is too thick, and also you paid a fortune for it.

It's great, but..
After doing extensive research here is what I've come to conclude: - pink & yellow thread tapes are typically premium. The density (thickness/grams of teflon per inch etc) is usually higher than regular white ptfe tape. A 'premium' thread tape will have a thickness of greater than or equal to 0.0035" to 0.004" (very thin! 4mils). - white ptfe tapes are usually thinner as mentioned - that is why they cost less. (0.0015" etc, 1.5mils) - basically, you will require fewer wraps with a thicker tape (3-4 wraps vs. 7-8+), it also won't shred as easily, easier to work with. - the only other thing to consider is green thread tapes ARE different - they are meant for oxygen lines. - all the rest of the thread tapes are the same - 99% PTFE (teflon) and 1% of pigment (color). You can verify this by looking up the SDS sheets for the products. - (also just as a peeve of mine, that Venom tape is also just regular grade, same with the jumbo roll of blue monster tape) So what does all this mean? Well, this pink gasoila tape is excellent, no question. But I can get the same thing (99% ptfe, 1% pigment, 3.5mil) locally, in yellow, at the hardware stores, for 2.50-3$ a roll. And if you look hard enough you can find 3.5mil jumbo rolls in pink and yellow. Good luck!

Awesome Product - 1 spool holds enough for several connections
Used this as a sealant for the water lines on a tankless hot water heater. All of the fittings between water lines, and the hot/cold shut off valves had small leaks where the O-rings weren't cutting it. After using this on every thread (it took a lot of time, but thankfully one spool holds a ton of sealing ribbon), not 1 leak! I'm not a plumber, I've never worked with water lines before, and I've never installed a tankless hot water heater. Still, I would not have been able to complete this project without it. Pipe goop is good too, but I didn't want to mess with it.

Pretty pink but would not adhere to the threads like other brands
Maybe it is me but i could not get this tape to adhere to the threads of the faucet. I finally bought another one that adhered and stayed in place. i like the pink color but just did not work for me.

Great product for threaded water pipes!
Tired of wrapping a pipe with ordinary white teflon tape, only to have it leak when you screw it together? Tired of then adding more wraps, only to have it shred as you assemble it? Here's the solution--thicker, high density pink tape! Requires fewer wraps and is much more durable, creating no-leak joints with ease. Yes, it does costs more, but it's definitely worth the money!!

Costs more
Worth every penny use so much less and a great seal will never go back to the old cheap stuff

Much better than hardware store white tape
Tried this plumbers tape on persistently leaking drip irrigation connections and on the drain plugs on my inflatable boat. The standard white plumbers tape didn't solve the problem. This tape felt much sturdier and worked perfectly. No more leaks!

Expensive but worth it.
I was installing a shower pipe in my new bathroom and no mater how many turns of regular white homedepot tape I used it was leaking.... This tape stopped the leak in just 3 turns!
