Really quick delivery! Well made unit of stainless steel. All edges that enter the bolt carrier are rounded when scraping the bottom of the bore. Has pin puller, bolt scraper, lug scraper, firing pin scraper etc. Should work well with the carbon deposits.

Pros- The carrier cleaner part and the firing pin cleaner works decently. You can also use the retaining pin puller part to kind of scrape the bolt. Cons - The bolt cleaner really doesn't work due to a large gap between the scraper and the bolt. However, you can use the pin puller to kind of scrape the carbon off the bolt. The bolt lug cleaner doesn't really fit either, but the retaining pin puller can be used to scrape it too.

Just don't scrap too hard or deep. After years of M16, M4, A4 weapons use I finally did a good complete clean and scrap. I did an after range cleaning after each use but the crud had built up. Amazing the difference, better groups, the bolt slid like butter smooth. Guns were quieter, trigger reset was immediate. Buy it and use it at least annually.

I've been cleaning M-16s and ARs for 45 years. I just discovered this tool. It is incredible for cleaning your BCG. Highly recommended. The photo shows what came off after I had already thoroughly cleaned the bolt, then redid it with this tool.

I bought these because they had good reviews and I thought that the tools came in a nice storage box that fit my needs (See first picture as advertised). So far so good on the tools themselves. The tools actually arrived in a very thin tin box with a thin - almost Saran Wrap plastic window that I can tell you will soon get ripped. Because the box was so thin (and because someone chose to ship it in a envelope), the cheaper box i received is now crushed. See second picture taken after I did my best to straighten it. The box is part of the product - hence the 3 rating. Note also the obvious (from the edge rolls) heavier metal construction of advertised box.

Until now I couldn't remember where this came from, but it's a great little carbon scraper. Not too aggressive on the underlying materials, but gets the bulk of stuff off. Truly unique design.

Fits BCM BCG perfectly, got all the carbon off that I couldn’t with brushes.
