These are perfect for math stations or independent work! The students are always very engaged. They are busy thinking outside the box and talking to each other as they problem solve for the solution. Easy to choose just the right puzzle to challenge individual students or a "team". Customer Service at Mashup Math was quick to respond when I had a question and very very helpful. Students love these challenges! I use as time filler at the end of class, for students who finish work early, or anyone who requests it. Perfect for middle school kids and adults. I enjoy many of the teasers!

This book is excellent for the homeschooler or old schooler that wants to use a traditional book for math and logic puzzles. While the pages have room for scratch work, I recommend having another scratchpad handy. The books also recommends hands-on manipulatives, which I agree with. The book has to appendices- one for hints and another for answers. So far, there was an error for problem 11- how many triangles are there? The answer key has far fewer than what my friends and I found. There are actually 2 solutions for problem 12. It's still very well organized and fun. I recommend putting Mashup Math problems digitally in school for some Friday brain teasers.

I just received this book in the mail. I have already flipped through it to see what puzzles are included. This book looks great for teaching kids how to think critically. I believe teachers need to embrace productive struggle so that students can grow in their math and reasoning skills. I plan to use this book in Math club as a warm-up!

My students love MashUp Math, so when I found out we could get it in book form I was delighted. This book is wonderful. The problems are short. Students are interested in the illustrations and engaged in the problems. They are willing to try again and again until they solve the problem. I use these for all levels of math learners. My favorite MashUp Math experience was when one of my struggling students yelled "Hey, I get this!" She was so proud of herself. I can't wait to use these new problems during distance learning.

First know that I am a special education teacher at a high school level teaching students experiencing a variety of barriers including disability, socioeconomic status, and being in process of learning English. I have been teaching individuals who experience disability for going on 20 years. All of my students have had a lot of failure around academics which has led to the additional complication of learned helplessness. These books are an awesome resource to help them push past these barriers in a way that leans on their strengths by making it visual and seem less intimidating. I have been using them for warm ups, challenge questions and "break" days from the normal curriculum to keep them working on their logic and reasoning skills (critical for life as well as math tasks) and keeping the math portions of their brains active. I started off with the free samples but these have been so popular and high demand that I have bought every book that is available to I have as much variety as possible and so I don't run out!

I use Math Mash-up in my high school math classes frequently - the puzzles, brainteasers and especially the videos. I purchased this book for some fun warm-up problems. This book has a variety of different types of puzzles and brainteasers. Love it!
