I have been using this eyeliner for a few years. Throughout the years I have tried other liners from time to time. Nothing compares to this little beauty, including high end, exorbitantly priced liners. This liner applies as well as you want it to. I find the pen to be precise. If you like thin lines, this is the liner for you. If you like thick lines, this is the liner for you. It dries fairly quickly. I don’t use liner on the waterline so I can’t say how well it works there. I can tell you that once I apply it in the morning it stays on all day. I have very sensitive eyes to cosmetics & this is one of the only liners I can use that doesn’t irritate my eyes. However, as with any cosmetic, I would recommend a skin test. I was drawn to the e.l.f. brand because it is cruelty free. It’s been double certified as cruelty free by PETA & Leaping Bunny. In the make up industry that is impressive. I will say that it’s more water resistant than waterproof. I say this because I have found that if it is a humid or muggy day or if you have oily lids, it may not perform as well and you may have to reapply. Sooooooooooo, let’s go over the pros: 1. It applies easily 2. It doesn’t smear unless you try to smear it . 3. It looks better than most high priced liners. 4. You probably won’t experience eye irritation from this little gem. 5. The value! It is priced reasonably & is a fantastic value.Want to hear the cons? I haven’t found any!

I’ve been wearing waterproof liquid eyeliner for well over a decade, and I’ve tried just about everything- from Kat Von D, Stila, Maybelline, and NYX to other drugstore and high-end brands. This e.l.f. H2O Proof Eyeliner has officially become my new favorite. In my opinion, it’s the GOAT!!!!!The felt tip applicator makes it easy to create precise lines, whether you’re doing a subtle wing or a dramatic cat eye. The pigment is deep black, goes on smoothly, is easy to apply, and dries quickly without skipping.What really impressed me was the staying power. The photo I included was taken about 12 hours after application. During that time I:* Worked out at the gym* Ran errands in the summer heat* Spent time in a saltwater pool (without submerging my face)* Dealt with my naturally dry, watery eyesAnd it didn’t budge! No smudging, flaking, or fading. Let me set the scene:- me? I’ve got oily eyelids. I’m Asian, things smudge, smear, and transfer because of the shape of my eyes. I have tried dozens upon dozens of liquid liners. I’ve worn liquid liner almost every day for the past two decades and I’ve tried every famous and non-famous niche brand you can think of.- where? I’m currently testing it in tropical southeast Asian jungle humidity. That means it’s 90° out and averaging 80%+ humidity. Your clothes are sticky wet just from existing outside so “waterproof” has to be “bulletproof”- to make things worse? I am sweatinnnnng. I am running all day. I took TWO showers.- RESULTS? this magical eyeliner did not budge! I looked fantastic, AFTER my TWO showers and 12hrs of humidity. I did my eyeliner in the morning and it sat unmoved in the most difficult of makeup environments the entire day. I did not use setting spray, I did not set it with eyeshadow, I even tightlined with it - UN. MOVED.Cherry on top: it was less than 1/3 of the cost of a comparable eyeliner. What a value!! The tip is sharp and comes to a fine point for a clean line application. The color payoff is RICHHHHHHHH. (In the words of Jaime foxx, it’s black. Blackety black black black.) it applies so smoothly and cleaner than any eyeliner I’ve ever had.I did not know that a liquid liner of this quality existed. I will never ever ever change to another formula as long as this one exists. Loyal for life.Ps - if you don’t have a steady hand, the q-tip trick won’t work. It’s almost like a stain. You need product (not just water or saliva) on the cotton swab to budge this eyeliner bc once it’s dry, it’s dry. I’m on the road so I used my snail mucin serum and that worked like a charm.

I don't know if it is water proof because I use cosmetic makeup remover pads to remove makeup, but it is easy to use, makes great lines and looks great on. It also dries quickly after applying. I have used a lot of different eyeliner pens and liquid eyeliners through the years, and this is better than all the others I have ever used. It glides on easily. I can use the tip for finer lines or glide it sideways across my eyelids for a heavier line. I have had this e.l.f. liner for a while now and use it daily and, so far, the pen has not dried out like other pens do. I store it standing upside down to help keep it fluid. It stays on all day till I remove it with my makeup remover pads. I truly do love it and am glad I found it. If it dries out soon, I will update here.

I was previously using the Ulta brand eyeliner, but found this and decided to try it given it is much less expensive. Application and wear are equivalent, so I'm happy. The only difference I notice is that it is harder to get this liner off at the end of the day which can be annoying

Glides on easily and stays in place, great for evrryday makeup.

ABSOLUTLY BEST WATERPROOF EYEINER AND I BARTEND OUTSIDE

This is such a good long-lasting felt liner for an amazing price - but it has one big flaw! The liquid bubbles up where the brush connects to the tube and it sometimes DRIPS onto your cheek when you are applying or you get it on your finger while you’re holding the tube. The drip is hard to remove from your skin and is such a pain. If it didn’t have that one flaw, it would be lovely. It’s easy to correct mistakes when you’re using the brush because it has a good flow and you can get a really thin or thick line depending on how hard you press. I love a super thin wing and this works for that. It lasts all day with no smudging even for hooded eyes. If only it didn’t drip!!
