Coleman Cooler Replacement Hinges, 2-Pack of Spare Cooler Hinges, Compatible with Most Coleman Models

I thought I’d have to replace my whole cooler until I found these replacement hinges—what a relief! They fit perfectly and brought my old Coleman cooler back to life. The durable plastic feels solid, and the 8 included mounting screws made installation quick and straightforward. It only took a few minutes with a screwdriver. Now the lid stays on securely, and the cooler is just as efficient as before. Great value and a super practical fix for damaged or broken hinges!

Fit perfectly. Saved my old Coleman cooler from from ending up in the garbage. An inexpensive quick fix. I was concerned it would be kind of sorta going to fit, but it went on without any fiddling around to make it fit.

I ordered these replacement hinges on 8/5/24 with a bit of trepidation, given prior Amazon consumer reviews from a year or two back, including "Do not fit 5286B cooler By MarkJ in the United States on March 28, 2023", and "Sort of works on older models 5286B, 5296, 5248 By Bubba in the United States on April 22, 2022". It appears that since the time when these prior reviews were written, Coleman has updated the hinges, because I can attest that they do indeed fit perfectly in place of the failing plastic hinges that originally came with my Coleman Cooler 5286B, 5296, 5248. They required no alteration or adjustment. I did decide to use the original screws that came with my Coleman Cooler, as they are quite a bit more robust than the smaller screws which accompany the replacement plastic hinges. I am posting photos showing the product numbers on the bottom of my Coleman Cooler (5286B, 5296, 5248), as well as the newly installed replacement hinges, with the original hinges placed alongside, to show the equivalent dimensions. I am giving five stars for this now easy fix, which restored the usefulness and function of my otherwise perfectly good cooler. Thank you Coleman and Amazon!

Very good product, it is perfect to replace the broken hinges, it is the same as the original fit’s perfect and has the same screws as the originals and very easy to install

I had no idea that replacement hinges for a cooler were even available until I did a search for them. I was very pleased to find this product available on Amazon. After insuring that my cooler was compatible with these specific hinges, I ordered them and within a few days, received them. Removing the 8 screws from the old hinges with a screwdriver was very quick and easy. Comparing the old screws and the 8 new screws proved they were exactly the same. So, I just used the old screws and the new hinges to fix my cooler. For essentially a fraction of the cost of a new cooler, I now have a great functioning cooler once again. When I look back, I now think it was funny at the number of people who just told me that they just throw away their old coolers when the hinges break and buy a new cooler. I am much happier knowing I did not have to do that.
