It looks like some push buttons, nobs and levers are plastic. is this all metal or does it have some plastic parts?

The lever on the front and some of the caps are plastic but the bearing surfaces are all metal. I wouldn’t worry about durability too much. I’ve used one of these to mount a pvs14 on a helmet while driving an ATV and it maintained a stable mount just fine.
