This is my go to cutting tool to cut up those big blocks of cheese that come from the grocery store. These blocks of cheese can't be left in the refrigerator once the wrapping has come off because mold will start growing. So, I use this knife to cut the cheese into thinner slices/blocks that are ready to use portion size, and then put these all these smaller pieces in a zip lock bag into the freezer, where they will keep for a super long time. You can't put the big blocks of cheese straight into the freezer because they can't be cut once they are frozen. This knife is the perfect tool for cutting big cheese blocks - the grip on the handle is very stable and allows you to put the whole weight of your palm, arm, and shoulder into slicing through the cheese. There is no cheese that is too tough to cut with this type of knife, as a result, and the sharpness of the blade doesn't really affect the ease of cutting through these blocks of cheese.

As a handicapped person for many years, this is the best, easiest rocker knife I ever had. For having use of only 1 arm/hand it's a must have to be able to function in the kitchen and especially food preparation and eating. Great value for the price as well. (Also this is the 1st time I rated 5 stars to anything)

I've been using a 4" wooden handle Alaskan ulu daily for years to chop meat, potatoes, vegetables, etc to feed my puppies and chickens. This Amco Mezzaluna is 6" and has a rubber like comfortable handle. Blade is a lot sharper so less pressure is required. Cuts through pizza like butter (even frozen pizza.) Great price. Just wish it had a base I could sit it in like my ulu. It does come with a little plastic sleeve with a snap. For the money and quality, cannot complain. I am considering purchasing another as a gift. I'll update if anything changes. I do recommend hand washing and drying immediately. This has kept my knife set in perfect condition.

I bought this to help me cut things after a shoulder replacement. I will never cut an apple any other way! Meat cutting remains a challenge as I recuperate, because I am right handed and can’t put pressure on it because it is my right shoulder. But it works well on tender meat, like pot roast, or skinless chicken. I wish it came with a blade cover - it is very sharp and should not be in a drawer without one. Great value for the price, and I know I’ll put it to even better use when I am healed.

I ordered this tool because I had had shoulder surgery and needed a knife that I could use that didn't require a back and forth motion. This was recommended in a video of women who only have one arm. This is very sharp and really is easy to use. It cuts really hard vegies like carrots and sweat potatoes very well. Together with a concave shaped cutting board, this tool is really nice to have. Be careful though, as it is very sharp.

Bought this because my original chopping knife got lost. This knife is better than the original one that I had that came with a cutting board. This one works beautifully with the cutting board the other one came with, and, IMHO, is a much better chopping knife. The sheath is cheap plastic, but will last quite a while if you are careful when you insert, and remove the knife. If you are handy with leather, you could make a leather one, or take a small section of a 2x2 piece of wood, and cut a groove into it to make a knife stand... NOTE: THIS KITCHEN KNIFE IS NOT FOR THE INEXPERIANCED TO USE, AS IT IS VERY SHARP, WICKIDLY SHARP, RAZOR SHARP!!! If you are new at using this kind of chopping knife, you should wear the knife proof gloves till you get the feel for using this kind of a knife.

This handy gadget helped me so much thru my 2 months in a hand/arm cast. So useful. Much easier than trying to do sawing motion with normal knives. Now that I have discovered this tool.. I cannot imagine NOT using it. VERY SHARP.

I love this this chopper and use it constantly. The cover is sturdy and is great for storage in my knife drawer. I reach for this chopper for cutting everything. I have owned it for over a year now, use it constantly and it is still as sharp as the first time I used it.

I love this product!!!! It is sturdy and made well and is about 1/3-1/5 of the price of other products for the same purpose. Fits in my hand nicely and doesn’t slip when cutting harder product, and easily cuts all product!!!! Would definitely buy again!!!!
