Brilliant product.
I love how simple this product is to use, I've had other products before and it's, add a pin, have near the router, other daft things to extend your WiFi. Not with this product, its easy to set up and very powerful, I use mine in the wood shed I have on my property, with my old exstenders, if power goes down I'd have to go through all the kuffuful above. Not with this product. Power goes down, it turns off, reconnect power to outhouse and this product somehow remembers how to configure. It's brilliant. Worth the money.

Perfectly did what I needed it to do with simple setup and resonable price.
This is a great extender. I fitted mine in an upstairs bedroom with the router downstairs at opposite side of house. The signal is picked up and boosted to full on all my devices. It even helps you identify the best place for it. Online access to the managment of the extender is just like a router and with some usefull features like white and black listing devices. you can also use the app to quickly check in on the stats of the extender. Mesh and single RJ-45 access is fabulous. Shame virgin media dont supply good mesh enabled routers! nevertheless the connection from router to extender is almost seemless. I will say sometimes it gets a little warm to touch and ive had to reset it with on/off at the plug a few times but i think this is typle of networking devices, especially at this price point. connecting it was easy with the WSP button. Dont forget to check the manual for default codes if needed. If I could have added any feature it would be the ability to twist the device around when plugged in. I assume this will benefit many users where plug space and angle is a bit awkward. I was happy with my purchse and usage.

Does exactly what it promises.
The TP-Link AC750 does exactly what it says on the box. It is easy to set up, and you end up with a local clone of your main Wi-Fi with the suffix 'EXT' after the usual SSID. There were a few things I was curious about before I bought it, so here are the answers. 1. Will I need to sign into my accounts again once I switch devices to the extender signal? Yes. When I transferred devices such as the Echo Show 8 onto the extender channels, I had to sign in to the extender Wi-Fi and my Amazon account. After that, the devices worked as before, just with a stronger Wi-Fi connection. 2. Can I control the extender from an app? Yes. You can use the TP-Link Tether app to set up and manage the extender. You can also see what clients you have connected and what channel they are using. 3. Do devices pick the best channel automatically? Yes. You can force individual devices on to static IP addresses and either the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz channel. But if you do nothing, your devices will set themselves up completely automatically but always favouring the faster 5Ghz channel. 4. How will I know how far away I can use the extender? You set the extender up close to your main house router. You then take the extender and plug it in where you have poor Wi-Fi signal. You then log in to the extender from your phone (easiest), or a laptop/tablet/PC. The signal strength is assessed between the main router and extender, before you select 'looks good' in the extender settings. The lights on the front of the extender will also function as a signal meter during this phase. 5. What is the point of the ethernet connector? My main PC is upstairs in a home office. It gets a decent Wi-Fi signal from the house router, but the signal rises and falls depending on doors being open/closed. By plugging the PC in to the ethernet connector of the extender, I still only get Wi-Fi speeds obviously, but the connection to the router downstairs has gone rock solid, regardless of the office door being open or closed. I performed an Ookla speed test before fitting the extender and afterwards. The connection speed has also now become very stable at the house maximum broadband speed. 6. Does the extender manage it's own router connection and power level? Yes. The connection between the house router and the extender is automatic, but not fixed. The extender will swap channels and manage the signal power, to maintain a strong connection to the router. 7. Is there any manual control over the extender's cloned Wi-Fi signal strength? Yes, there are three power settings to choose from, 'near', 'mid' and 'far'. So if, like me, you only needed to extend a single room, you can select the lowest power setting and prevent the extender from working unnecessarily hard. 8. Does the extender have a Mesh mode? Yes, the extender has three modes of operation, extender, access point (ethernet to Wi-Fi conversion) and mesh. You will need a house router capable of mesh operation. If you already have a mesh-capable TP-Link router, the router and the extender(s) will connect seamlessly with just one Wi-Fi SSID being broadcast. Otherwise the extenders will each have a suffix (EXT, EXT2) etc, but once mobile devices such as phones or tablets are paired with the extender(s), you can just walk around the house and the devices will switch between the strongest Wi-Fi signal automatically.

Cheap extender with a few minor caveats
I bought this to extend a 5g hot-spots wifi into a basement where there is no cell reception. Setup via the app was very easy although you do need to create a tplink account for some reason. It seems to work fine but has an odd default way of extending the network. It creates a new wifi connection (your routers ssid+this units wifi band i.e. 2.4 or 5) rather than seamlessly repeating the main ssid so you have to switch to it when in range. Once your devices have both connections saved they will natively auto connect so not a great problem but worth noting as dowloads will be interrupted when it jumps between them. More troubling is the fact it gets rather hot after being on for a few hours. This seems to be an issue for a lot of these types of devices so might be normal but it can't be good for the electronics long term. So in conclusion, this device seems to be working great at the moment and I havnt noticed any dropouts or connection issues but the temperature it gets to worries me a bit. So 3 stars. Deducted one for the forced unnecessary online tplink account and one for the heat generation. If it's still working fine in a few months I will up my rating accordingly.

Solid WiFi Extender that does the job. This is a medium tier device since it can only broadcast upto 300 Mbps on 2.4Ghz and 433 Mbps on 5Ghz frequency bands. With that said, set up was easy with the Tether app. It can be used as a WiFi repeater/extender or as an Access Point (ethenet to WiFi). I've tried both and tested the speeds and it's solid. Great for larger homes.

This extended the wifi reach to an otherwise weakly connected upper floor. I no longer have signals drop - it has been great for meetings and classes.

And again everything ok.
