These work exceptionally well for my purpose! The builder must have been 8 feet tall because the clothes racks were positioned too high for my frame of 5’3”. I have purchased a total of 4 of these rods. They are easy to use and I can position them 8 inches below the builder’s rods and they work great! They hold as much as the original closet rods. I can reach my clothes without using a stool now!!! I also can use two rods in one space.

FABULOUS!!! Doubled my closet space for pants and shirts. So easy to adjust and "install"--just hangs like two hangers. I hung my tops first (on the wood pole that is installed in the closet); then I adjusted the vertical height of the chrome rod so that my pants--folded over hangers--ended just above the floor. There was some tiny overlap of the bottom of the shirts and the rod because so many of my tops are tunic length. Very very sturdy rod. Definitely recommend. A time-saver and stress reliever for sure: no more squished tops or hunting for the "right" bottoms. You might think the following is odd or a good idea: I "label" each pair of pants by poking a hole through a post-it and threading it onto the hanger, describing each pair (most are black), such as "go-to ankle pants" "wide bottom boot pant," "crop-length," and/or I specify the brand/size. I make sure to put the pants back on the correct hanger (which would be the empty one). What a treat to stop the endless searching through so many pairs of black and other dark pants in a poorly lit closet.

This thing is fabulous and very affordable for how useful it is. I moved into an apartment with very limited closet space. In my bedroom closet, there was no way I’d be able to hang both tops and bottoms, so I got this. Now all my tops can hang on the bar that came with my closet, and all my bottoms live on this adjustable one.

Easy to assemble and sturdy.

This is the second one I've bought. They are huge space savers in small closets!

It took me about 15 minutes to put together my adjustable hanging closet rod. It took that long because the instructions (which are a series of 4 pictures without words) leave out one important fact that you must know to be successful in assembly. There are some pieces that snap in place along the vertical side rails which the horizontal bar's end loops go over to hold the horizontal bar tightly in place. Those little pieces are marked "Top" with an arrow pointing to the top of the piece. If you don't see that "Top" and you put them in upside down, then you won't be able to get the horizontal bar's end loops over them. Once you do it right, it works easily. This product solves the problem of not enough closet space very well. I'm happy enough with it that I'll be ordering more. If the clothes that you are hanging are long men's shirts, you might find that placing two rows of long men's shirts in your closet one above the other causes the tails of the bottom row to touch the floor. The height of this hanging closet rod is completely adjustable, but most closets don't have the installed closet rod high enough to have two rows of long men's shirts hanging below it without touching the floor. If that is a problem for you, you might consider either raising the height of your closet bar (easy), or putting something shorter, like most women's clothes, pants, or whatever on one of the levels and the long men's shirts on the other.

I purchased the DecoBrothers Adjustable Hanging Closet Rod for my husbands shirt (size Large to Extra Large), but found that it is made to work for women's sized shirts (or children's clothing) I used common plastic tubular hangars. With the cross bar in its very lowest position, the bottom of the men's shirts is bunched up on the closet rod causing wrinkles. Then, hanging shirts on the cross bar left the shirt bottoms bunched up on the floor. I then tried women's shirts (size Small, Medium and Large) with the cross bar about 6-8 inches above the bottom of the hanging bars and found that the women's shirts fit when hung from the closet rod without them bunching up at the bottom like the men's shirts did. And, hanging women's shirts on the bar at that height also kept them off the closet floor. Worked for my women's blazers and short jackets/coats as well. All in all, I was able to declutter MY closet, but didn't solve the problem for my husbands closet. The bars and hooks are quality grade material; that and the price were the reason I didn't give this product less than 3 stars.

Great product for creating double the hanging space in a small wardrobe. Easy to assemble

Brilliant im really pleased with the item. I've been able to organise my clothes much better. I've secured the rail on one side with string tape, also the middle join and the other edge where the poles meet. Im hanging my lighter clothes on the rail like shirts. Savibg the heavy items for the top rail. So far so good 👍

Amazing quality and very practical

Excellent product. I am not a tall person and so had a struggle reaching the hanging rail in my wardrobe but since I bought this product my life has changed. No more struggling to try to reach the high rail. My wardrobe is now easy to access and my clothes are not creased due to being crowded. I intend to buy another for spare wardrobe. Easy to fit and seems sturdy. Highly recommended.
