excellent quality
I recently installed the Restmo IP68 waterproof solar cable entry glands, and they work perfectly. The dual cable design keeps everything sealed and secure, even in bad weather. The build quality is solid, and they were easy to install. Iโd definitely recommend them for anyone needing a weatherproof cable entry solution.

Narrow, good for a Promaster roof
Seems good. Bought this to use to add solar to the roof of a Promaster, I chose this one because it was the narrowest available and I am able to have it sealed to the roof on top of one of the ribs. If you have a Promaster you know what I mean!

Clean install
I recently purchased the 2 Pack of IP68 Waterproof Solar Cable Entry Gland by Restmo and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. These entry glands are perfect for securing and weatherproofing the cables on my solar panels for my RV. The dual cable entry housing ensures a secure and tidy installation, while the white color blends seamlessly with the exterior of my vehicle. I was impressed with the high level of creativity in the design of these cable entry glands. The waterproof IP68 rating gives me peace of mind knowing that my solar panels are protected from the elements, and the durable construction ensures long-lasting performance. I also appreciate the versatility of these entry glands, as they can be used for a variety of applications including marine, boat, and cabin installations. Overall, I highly recommend the Restmo Waterproof Solar Cable Entry Gland for anyone looking for a reliable and weather-resistant solution for their solar panel installations. The high level of creativity in the design sets these entry glands apart from others on the market, making them a top choice for outdoor enthusiasts like myself.

Yep, itโs waterproof, proven on a wet kayak floor
NOTE: Pics DO NOT represent fading or discoloration, I got the white and lightly spray painted in an attempt to have it blend in with my kayak. It holds the spray paint well (plastic paint, sand it a little first), the scuffs are intentional here but it wouldnโt be hard to paint to match whatever color. Very sturdy, has had coolers and a heavy battery tossed on it with no cracks or signs of damage. Low profile doesnโt get in the way or bend the wire like plugs or grommets and the wires are well protected from snags. Thick 6awg marine wire with 2 accessory wires fit tight but the odd shape of the combined wires seals just fine and the 6awg by itself is no problem. Might be able to fit 4awg. I used marine silicone, not adhesive as I didnโt want to make it permanent yet but it seems the channels inside this have allowed the silicone to give a tight and even seal and itโs not going anywhere without significant effort. I donโt feel the need for adhesive at all but I would for the top of an RV going 70mph. Based on my leak detection system (paper towels taped inside hull) I have zero leaks and itโs in the wettest part of the boat where water often splashes over the bow. All-in-all, an elegant solution to a not so elegant problem, thick and sturdy plastic and a god send if you have limited space.

Simple but effective
I mounted two these to the top of my van. I ran the solar wires through one and a 5G antenna wire and Starlink ethernet wire through the other. I started by using some putty tape to make the initial seal followed by lap sealant after to create a true waterproof seal. Overall I was very happy with how they installed and they seem to keep water out well.

Wire entry cover. Exactly what they are.
These entry glands or wire entry ports are made from plastic. They have bulkhead sealing fittings on them. There are no silicone pads or sealants shipped with.. JUST AS IT STATED IN THE AD. They look to be made of sturdy and durable plastic for use outdoors. They were a great price for them as others were a considerable amount higher. Set your wires in.... crank the nuts down to seal them (I would hit the inside and out with some silicone before cranking down)... then use your silicone to seal it down to roof (or wherever you are putting them.... give them a day or so to cure and then hit the housing with silicone on outside to seal them more! Simple to install.... There are no seals or ways to bolt or seal it included. Just as it states! :)
