VideoMicro Windscreen Foam Filter - Wind Shield Deadcat Fits Rode VideoMic Me Me-L Compact Microphone (2 Pack)

For a shotgun mic, this foam windscreen is terrible. Tested this on my Rode VideoMic Me, and it proved to be useless.That being said, my interest in this was actually to use it for a DIY project, threading an omnidirectional lapel through a small PVC pipe to basically make a hand held mic. Using this over top of the lapel, there was some (but only some) protection against wind. Light breezes are eliminated, but moderate gusts were still more easily audible in the test recording than one would hope for.So, this can potentially be useful on an omnidirectional mic for minimal wind environments, for a shotgun mic that is only being used indoors. I would not recommend it beyond those scenarios.

This two-pack sure is great to have to replace those ridiculous looking furry monsters that are placed on the front of mics. I’d keeping my furry dead kitty for the windiest of conditions yet these look so much more professional. I did a test with my superb Boya mic. As a former DI I know how to “Pop my P’s” to test a mic. “Peter Pepper Picked a Peck . . .” The mic did not pop with the VideoMicro windscreen. On the other hand, this great microphone did not pop without it either. Count on modest yet useful wind protection.

These did not impress me at all. Threw this on my Rode VideoMicro and in a slight breeze I was hearing a bunch of garbled muffled terrible-ness in my “test vlog.” They fit the mic perfect and it does make your setup look cleaner and less-noticeable which is a plus when you’re not trying to attract attention but I still think these are pointless. The OEM deadcat that Rode includes with the VideoMicro is superior in all forms of wind & pop protection, plus it’s included free. These third party windscreen covers aren’t worth it.

Perfect fit. Much more balanced and less intrusive than the dead cat that comes with the video micro. Sound quality is greatly improved as well. I would probably still use the dead cat for outdoor use in windy conditions.

They arrived at my door for $10Two 3cent covers but they do the job and made it to my door for $10 - I'm happy - they fit perfectly and were almost fully "inflated" in the packaging they came in - they were perfectly shaped within less than a minute of unpacking.The come in a small ziplock so I already have a storage pouch included!Zero complaints

I used this product as a wind screen for my movo vxr10 mic. It fits perfectly and works great.

Works as intended. Came with a small kink on edge due probably from shipping. Otherwise perfect.

A simple yet necessarily effective accessory and tool for your creative and recording needs. It’s a bit overpriced however it’s hard to find something that fits and works for the Rode Go VideoMic series.
