Works very well but be patient, some weeds take longer to die than others!
I've never used this product before, but I'm glad I found it! My lawn had gotten so full of weeds, I decided to just kill everything with a broad-spectrum vegetation killer and start over. Waited until Fall, then sprayed the lawn, waited 2-3 weeks and sprayed it again to make sure everything was dead. Had to look at bare earth all winter, but it was for the best. This is where I messed up... In the spring, I tilled up the entire area and immediately put down some very expensive grass seed. I've since learned that it's best to till, wait a week or so for the weed seeds you just tilled up to sprout, then spray weed killer again to get rid of all the weeds before putting down grass seed. Having planted the grass seed right after tilling, the number of weeds that sprouted was insane. I didn't have a lawn, I had a huge patch of plantain, clover, Japanese clover, dollar weed, and crabgrass. Some of the grass grew, but it was mostly weeds. I've read a lot of reviews for grass seed that complain about nothing but weeds growing, but their description indicates that they did the same thing I did and planted right after tilling. Anyway... I found this product and followed directions to hopefully kill off the weeds. I knew that I was going to have a lot of bare spots (since I had so many weeds that had crowded out the grass), but I planned to over-seed this fall, anyway. The plantain, dollar weed, and clover started to die within 2 days and were completely gone within a week. The Japanese clover, however, took a while longer to start to die. I was starting to think that I was going to have to re-apply this or a different brand to kill it, but after almost 2 weeks it finally started to wither and has now died off. I do have a lot of areas that need to be re-seeded, but at least the weeds are under control and mostly gone. The crabgrass will have to be treated a different way since this product does not kill actively growing crabgrass, and I'm overseeding this fall so I can't use a pre-emergent next spring, either. The combination of fertilizer and weed killer is great, though, since crabgrass is opportunistic and grows when turf grass is not well-fed or maintained. Hopefully, ensuring the health of the lawn will help prevent crabgrass from taking hold next spring. I'm happy with the results, even though it took longer than I expected for some of the weeds. The biggest difficulty I had was keeping the dog off the treated area for a few days (the info on the bag says no pets/humans for 24 hours, but I erred on the side of caution and waited until it rained before letting her back on the treated area).

Lawn care on a budget
I have been using Scotts for ever and it delivers. My lawn is reasonably weed free and healthy. I always buy during early summer when it goes on sale and use it the following year.

Important- tips you need to know for it to work
If using the granular version- water your lawn first or apply after a rain. The product needs for the weeds to be wet in order for the granules to stick and kill them. Do NOT water after application for 2-3 days. If it rains, you’ll need to reapply. DO NOT WALK on the yard after you apply- or else you will have burn spots (like many of the posted photos). This means you HAVE TO KEEP TRACK OF WHERE YOU APPLIED the product and not walk on those areas. This may not work on all grasses- read the description.

Works… Kind of, But Not as Impressive as Expected
I had high expectations for this product after examining the label — a combination of weed killer and fertilizer seemed like a great idea. Unfortunately, the outcomes were somewhat disappointing. The positives: It was straightforward to use with a hose-end sprayer, and it appeared to enhance certain areas of my lawn within a week. The grass certainly appeared healthier in some spots, indicating that the fertilizer component is effective to some extent. The negatives: Regarding weed control, the effectiveness was inconsistent. It managed to eliminate some smaller broadleaf weeds, but more persistent ones like clover and dandelions showed little to no response. After two weeks, I still had a significant number of weeds remaining, which meant I had to resort to a separate spot treatment. Additionally, the coverage seemed a bit overly optimistic — if your yard is medium to large, you will probably require more than one bottle to achieve complete results. In summary, it’s not awful, but it’s not exceptional either. It serves as a reasonable all-in-one option if your lawn just requires a slight enhancement and has few weed problems. However, for more resilient weeds or larger lawns, you may want to consider something more potent or specialized.

Fertlizer works...eventually
I am one of the few people in my neighborhood who uses fertilizer every year, and I am one of the few people in my neighborhood without a lawn full of weeds. Over time, this stuff works.

Fresh green - might not wipe out all the briadleaf
My lawn looks great after two weeks since application. There was a significant broadleaf weed crop after winter, and it is not fully gone yet. It calls for two months before reapplication so I will apply a spray to help. I am hopeful. The nitrogen burst is going to make my Mow-Blow-Go guy work harder. Easy to spread.
