Pro Glass Cutter

Needed to cut up a couple of big bathroom vanity mirrors to get rid of them. This worked well. Initially I was pushing harder than I needed to due to inexperience. This resulted in the tool bending a bit. So, it is not super sturdy. Bent it back and it still works perfectly fine, especially after figuring out that it does not take much of a scribe in the mirror glass for it to break along the scribe.

Only 1 of the 3 glass cutters worked. The others had defective wheels. Dull spots on wheels or did not rotate correctly, after applying Glass cutter oil.

This works as intended - the cutter leaves the cut and makes the glass easy to “break” after the cut is made in the glass surface. Because this is “free hand” you have to be very careful if you want an exact or straight cut (must use a straight edge and take into account the small distance from the blade to the metal edge of the cutter). So if you are looking to do many straight and exact-sized cuts, you may want to look for another tool. But for small projects that you do not need a precisely sized cut or perfectly straight cut, this works great.

I bought this to scratch in front of a split on my vehicle windshield to stop progress; didn't work for me, but did cut the glass some.

I bought a glass aquarium lid online and was sure I knew the dimensions I needed. I was off ¼"(insert face palm here). Since returning it wasn't an option, I knew I needed a glass cutter. This was the same brand that I remembered using decades ago on a construction project I worked on so I ordered it. I received it very quickly. I knew that taking just a ¼" off the edge of the two piece lid would be tricky, especially with the hinge not allowing me to lay the glass flat on the work table. I watched a few YouTube vids on the subject and found two that addressed the subject of trimming a small piece off the glass with out it running into the big piece. It's not just a simple score and snap like on bigger pieces. With the instructions from YouTube I learned to make the score and then use the little ball on the end to tap the bottom of the score line, while giving gentle pressure to the top side and carefully turn the score line into a running crack that can be snapped off with some pliers. It was a fairly clean edge but did need some smoothing with a piece of coarse emery cloth and a little help with the Dremel sanding drum.

This tool works great. I used it to cut down some big pieces of glass for disposal.

It's good but for straight cuts can be used for curle cuts but better for long straight cutts
