100% Real Instant Nonfat Powdered Milk 49.6 OZ

Like a good old boy from Texas, I grew up drinking milk every day. My Mom would literally have to buy a gallon a day because I drank so much. Well, I don't drink as much nowadays but I still love it. This has to be the best-tasting powdered milk ever. The other milk powders I've tried, have a funky yeast taste that is like a protein drink. This tastes just like regular milk in the jug. I cannot tell the difference and that is a big deal to me. I add it to cereal and it tastes wonderful. I have tried so many different brands, and this one is by far the closest to regular milk. I take it camping and just mix it with cold water. It's fantastic. I will never buy anything else. Be sure to use a whisk, this breaks up the lumps really well. It forms a foam on the top as a result, but it's not a big deal. I use cold water from quart-sized bottles you get at the store. Mix it up in a bowl and pour it back in the same bottle. Using a spoon to mix just doesn't work because it doesn't break up the powder efficiently enough. Five stars.

I've tried many brands and they don't taste good.This brand is my favorite, just keep adding powder until it taste good! Takes a little while to get it mixed up,gets foamy which is a good thing! Good option for end of world or if you don't have a refrigerator,etc... Camping trips , boating.Big can,lasts awhile...

I've used this product now for several years and find it's the best-tasting, best texture of similar products on the market. It has a creamy texture and dissolves quickly in cold water without forming lumps. I've used it in baking successfully, and have also tried it in condensed form to make a heavier cream, and even the dry mix alone for use as coffee creamer. I think it would pass the "kid taste test" very well. It's a great product for people who find that their regular milk goes bad before they can use it all. I heartily recommend it also for Preppers or Survivalists who are doing food storage.

While the milk itself is good, I had to ding it one star for the awful packaging. I've bought similar packages before, and generally they either have a removable top or one of those pull tabs to open. Not this one. No clear way to open it at all, and my can opener doesn't quite reach the metal (it's a high lip). Ended up having to use the pointed opener tool that's meant for cans of liquids to punch holes in the top so I can pour the powdered milk out. Inconvenient. But again, the milk is good once you can get it out! :)

I just received my can and on the bottom it says "packaged 2 years ago" !!! I want something fresh for long lasting food storage. And I can't return it!

I have purchased this direct from the company and on Amazon several times. This will always be my choice for powdered fat free milk. Superior taste to other brands. The other good feature is the longevity of its shelf life. I would definitely recommend this product.

When chilled this milk is not a bad substitute and I use it for cooking all the time. Simply dissolve in water.
