All other cameras display every other line on my head unit at night. This one has great video at night, no snow and displays every line. I wanted to replace the camera mounted on the license plate because when ever I opened the trunk, my fingers bump the camera. I found on desertcart a camera mount that replaces one of the license plate lights so it looks more factory on my old vehicle. The camera that came with that bracket the grid lines could not be disabled and the video was poor at night. I ordered another camera that had great reviews but the description was incorrect, I could not disable the grid lines and at night I could only see as far as my brake lights shined. This camera has the same year manufacture as the original camera I had (it was round so it would not work in the new bracket) so I figured Id give it a try. I had to modify the bracket a bit with a dremel and use clear silicone caulk to seal it and hold it in place due to the odd shape of this camera, but the video quality of this camera is far superior and I'm able to disable the grid lines. My head unit can add grid lines that are adjustable, I use markers laid on the ground to set the width and distance for stopping, much better then guessing with non programmable grid lines pre set in the camera. As mentioned on the two previous cameras, at night I could only see the road as far as the tail lights shone and everything glowed red, also the head unit only displayed every other line. This camera the road is the correct color (except when the brakes are applied) and every line is displayed on the head unit giving a much sharper image. I'm glad I didn't give up looking for the perfect camera Review: Price and reliability - This little camera is a great addition to any vehicle. It is specifically designed to avoid a backup collision. Since the area directly behind vehicles has been described as a "killing zone" due to associated accidents, I decided to purchase this low cost BC for my truck. I connected it from the back/tailgate to the vehicle head unit display (pioneer a avh -4200nex). The resolution is great, at night the resolution is not the greatest but it is better than average and more expensive cameras. I have had it for a little over a year, exposed to the weather elements of the U.S. southeast. This BC is a great purchase and I would recommend it to anyone on a tight budget who looks for extra eyes on the road.

Excellent initial quality
Picture quality is excellent, installation is typical, wide angle giving me a bit more confident when backing up, price is a few bucks more than some others but I am glad I did choose this one but the real test is reliability and longer term quality so our labor won't be in vain, I will come back and adjust the rating if it fails prematurely however initial quality is well above average.
