Perfect fit on automatic1997 Honda CRV AWD
Pretty easy install on my 1997 Honda CRV left diver side. This brand is known for quality so I expect it to last longer than the broken garbage my mechanic put in two years ago You’ll need a 36 mm socket to get the hub nut off the end of the old CV axel and to put on the new one. You’ll need to remove the bolt though the suspension fork to make clearance to install the CV axel. You’ll need a big hammer to tap the old CV axel out of the intermediate shaft between the transmission. Do not use a pry bar on the driver side or you will damage the flange That keeps the road debris and water from getting into where the CV axel goes into the intermediate shaft splines. The passenger side does not have an intermediate shaft so you can pry the side out of the transmission if doing that side instead. Get some molybdenum axel grease to lube the splines. Make sure you shove the new CV axel in enough to engage the internal locking ring. Once locked you should not be able to pull it off by hand. It’s a good time to check the lower and upper ball joints and inner and outer tie rods and boots for tears or damage and replace at the same time. This came with a new hub nut off don’t forget to dimple the new hub nut to prevent it from coming off.

Plug & Play... Awesome axel!
High quality product and easy installation at a very fair price! And one of the few sellers that had a driver's front axle ... especially for my 22 year old 1998 Honda CRV! Extremely difficult to find!! Highly recommend
