The most comfortable pool float I have owned in 19 years!!
UPDATED REVIEW, 06/09/13: I have gotten over 2 years use out of this float. It has it's "issues" - has faded pretty badly, loses a bit of air in the chambers requiring you put a bit more in the air chambers weekly, and it is a BEAST to blow up yearly (it has 8 air chambers). Besides all this, I continue to find it the most comfortable pool float I have ever had, and with 2 years use, durable as well. The float is heavy enough that it has never been blown out of our pool during a thunderstorm, so this adds considerably to the durability factor. I prefer to float in a mostly upright position so I can read, look around, etc., so this float is ideal for me. I purchased this pool lounge chair/float about 2 months ago. It has been used many times in the past 2 months. I do not like to write reviews until I have given the product a "good run". So, with this pool float, so far/so good! This pool float is, by far, the most comfortable pool float I have ever owned in my 19 years as a pool owner. Let me give you the good and the few "bad" points. Good: 1). Super comfortable 2). The "fabric" is actually a pretty durable, high density polyester but it does have a fabric like feel and is non-sticky and comfortable. 3). It has been used at least 50 times in the past 2+ months and is holding it's own as far as durability in a chlorine based pool environment. 4). It does need a few puffs of air in some of the air baffles/pockets every week or so, but no big deal ............. no major leaks of any kind. ALL pool floats need the occasional bit of air added to compensate for air loss from the expansion/contraction from the sun and then cooler nights. The "bad" points: 1). There are multiple (8) air baffles that need inflated. Someone had mentioned how difficult it was to inflate some of the air baffles/pockets and then re-insert them into the proper compartments...............!? I don't know what would possess someone to remove the baffles to fill them!? I did remove the air baffles/bladders to stretch them out a bit and decompress them. I then re-inserted them back into their respective areas before I inflated them................no problems. 2). The "cup holder" is a joke...........really! It does not align well with the hole in the air bladder beneath, but if it is important to you and you do persist, you can get it to hold a standard beer/soda can or bottle. 3). As a previous reviewer mentioned you really do NOT rest back into a reclined position as the portrait suggest; the "model" on the box must be pushing back. This chair holds you in a fairly upright position. To allow my head to rest back a bit, I found that if I only put a bit of air into the very top (small) air bladder on the headrest you can rest your head back a bit. However, anyone who purchases this who has a cervical spine issue or who wants to recline backwards will be disappointed. Overall, I am very pleased with this pool float and if I get 2 or 3 seasons out of it I will be happy. It is hands down the most comfortable pool float I have ever owned (but I like sitting upright on a pool chair) and it can handle a person 200#+ if necessary and still remain buoyant.

Used to love this float, but the quality has seriously declined, and the price has gone up
I was looking for a larger sized float for sunbathing in my pool and this had pretty good reviews. It's a good size and I like the outer covering. The only thing I'm not happy with is that the actual float part doesn't hold air especially well and it's really difficult to inflate. Meaning when it gets low on air (every 24 hours or so), you have to open the case, deflate the pillow, pull the float out a little, inflate it, squeeze it back into the case, then inflate the pillow again. This should be a better quality float for this price. Regarding the case filling up with water and people saying it was too heavy to lift out of the pool. If you tilt it up, the water just drains out of the zippered end. UPDATE: 9/21/2017 Even though I have had to reinflate it quite a bit, I've decided that it's still my favorite float. It's been left outside in Florida every day for over a year and it's just finally getting too worn to use. I'm buying a second one. Update April 16, 2025 The quality in these has drastically been reduced. My first one lasted me several years (although I had to reinflate it quite a bit). Subsequent ones lasted maybe six months. The most recent one literally last lasted two months. The reason I gave two stars when I wanted to give zero is because it’s still my favorite float. I love the outside covering and the size of it. However, for what I paid, it should last a lot longer. It’s a shame how much the quality has gone down. It’s just not worth it to replace it every couple of months. UPDATE 8/2025- OK, so this is no longer my favorite pool float. The quality has gotten terrible. I believe this is the sixth one that I’ve purchased. They used to deflate a little, but I just dealt with it. I purchased one in April or May and it had a leak from the gecko. I realized it and had it replaced right away. The replacement came in while I was traveling. I just got back and took the brand new one out of the box. Not only was it assembled incorrectly (the inflatable part was reversed inside the cover, so I couldn’t access the plug, so I had to undo all the little clips that hold it to the cover and flip it over, similar to a duvet cover), but… Once I inflated it, there was already a leak. I don’t know what happened to the quality of these, but I won’t be purchasing them anymore.

great float!
Hands down the most comfortable floatie I've ever owned and the most stable to get on or off of without dumping yourself into the water. I went through 3 Wal-Mart cheapos the first week of swim season when I decided enough is enough! Ordered this one and now everyone wants to use it. The hubs is 6'4", 270 lbs and he's perfectly comfortable on it as well. The only drawback is that it won't stay fully aired but that is actually okay because it makes it more comfy. I will say I had a hard time using the electric pump to blow it up because for some reason there's a weird combo of holding the inflator valve and the air pump hose just right. Don't get me started on trying to blow it up with your lungs. It is indeed an "air mattress" and a pump is necessary unless you want to pass out in the 30-45 minutes it takes to do it the old fashioned way. However, all that aside, it is a great float. It doesn't get hot to the touch and works like a charm to lay on your stomach as well as your back because the pillow is just right to lay across, arms out & face down without it touching the water but yet still able to relax and breathe well. **update 8/18/15 - Our daughter's dog LOVES this float. He always wants to get on it with me when I'm in the pool. His nails don't puncture it (it's held up well to him walking/standing on it) and as you can see, he thinks he's a surfer. The only thing it has not held up to is being a chew toy for him. I came out the other day and evidently he caught it when it was on the tanning shelf of the pool and decided to drag it out to sleep on it. It had several bite marks that punctured it, so in the trash it went. Guess I'm in the market to buy a new one! This time I'll keep it put up away from him when I'm not outside. ;)

Manufacturing Defect in Outer Cover
This is the 3rd time I have ordered a float from Amazon in the last week . The first one, of a different manufacturer, leaked. Then we decided to switch to Swimline since we have had exceptional service from their products before. The first Swimline float shipped to us last week was used. The cover had dirt on it as though it was drug over a garage floor. Neither the pillow nor the mattress would hold air. Returned it for a replacement. The replacement was delivered yesterday. Both the pillow and the float held air over night. Finally a success........BUT NO...... my wife noticed a 5 inch rip in the in the outer cover. After further review, it was a manufacturing defect in the outer cover that appeared to look like a rip. The seams of two panels were not properly sewn together. They simply missed a 5 inch section when sewing. This is becoming a ridiculous scenario. Now in trying to return this product for "another" attempt to get a QUALITY product , the Amazon website will not allow us another try. I get a "We are sorry Something went wrong" message. I've tried 5 times to send it back for our last try and the website will not allow it for some reason. One more try tomorrow hoping for success. Success... Amazon approved the 3rd return... so with great hope, I ordered a 4th. Dumb decision.... Update: NEVER ORDER AN INFLATABLE PRODUCT FROM AMAZON...The 4th ordered pool float arrived today 06/07/2022. I chose to have it packaged in an Amazon package hoping for a better outcome. I assumed a box but it was shipped in a plastic pouch. The pouch had a box knife cut in it as received. The cut extended thru the Swimline box. Unbelievably, it did not appear to have cut the float itself. I put air in the float; but, as before the float would not hold air. ...Another failed product received. It almost seems that Amazon is sending me their previously failed products. After 4 failed attempts by Amazon to send me a quality, marketable product, I'm DONE!!! I do not think Amazon has the ability to do so. No More. Tired of repackaging and returning. Amazon, if you are listening, I have pictures of the delivered products prior to opening, if you have interest.

One of the best affordable pool floats
We have purchased numerous pool floats in the past six years and I mean numerous!!!! They all ended up worthless as we would continuously have to blow them up everytime we went into the pool which was pretty much on a daily basis from May through October here in Southern California. And they were $40-$50 floats we bought at our swimming pool supply store. In particular, the Big Daddy. We've gone through eight of those, exchanging them because of leaks after one or two weeks!!! I kept telling my husband not to get another one because I had had enough of those bogus floats. I ran across this Swimline float this May as I was determined to purchase a float that I didn't have to blow up every time I went into the pool. I am very particular and this float has served me well and is well worth the money, trust me!!! It's very comfortable and because it is encased in nylon I don't stick to it!!!! Cause sticking to a vinyl float feels disgusting in the heat. We have two golden retrievers who occasionally will drop their tennis balls on the float for us to throw into the pool because they love to jump in and retrieve them and don't particulary care about floating on floats but last week we were dogsitting three goldens from our extended golden family. We breed champion goldens. So we had five goldens in the pool last week, a new swimmer, Piper, who is six months old and her companion, Izzie, who is 4 years old and both of them climbed on the float while they were in the water and voila....no problem!!!! No punctures, no leaks!!!! It was a great test to this float. So, I just ordered another one today for my husband because every time he goes into the pool he has to blow up his lame vinyl float. Granted, when I take the float out of the water it is heavy with water, but it takes about 20 seconds to drain. I'm happy...I am just happy it holds up.

Best on the market by far
This is the fourth time I have bought these chairs, I can find no others on the market that match the value for money and comfort in use with ease of getting in and out. I would have given them 5 stars, but the seams give out after a couple of years, hence having to replace them so frequently. I do run holiday lets here so they get quite a bit of boisterous use, but we do not have children as our clientelle so calm and tranquility is more the order of the day. So the most important feature is the getting in and out, even for larger folk there is no delicate balancing act needed and I have never seen one overturn unless there are two people and play involved!!! They are very comfortable to sit in and float off to sleep on (ha, ha?). And the new design, where the bits to blow up are integrated within the cover, was much, much better. You can see that I am hooked on them, after years of trying other pool beds and many mistakes made!

First one great, next two bad. EDIT: another bad one
I bought one of these floaties last year. I filled it with air once, and it seems like it hasn’t lost a smidgen of air over the course of a whole year! I left it out in the elements for a year, and it’s very faded and a couple areas have minor tears, but that’s my bad for leaving it outside for a year. Regardless, this floatie is still kicking and with that in mind, and the comfort level, I would give it a 5. Flash forward to this year (2022). I wanted to replace the old one, only because it was looking pretty trashy. I bought a new one and realized within minutes there was a major leak in the biggest part of the floatie. If it was almost any other part (and there are 6-7 parts to the floatie that you blow up separately) I could have lived with it. So I returned it and bought yet another one. It, too, has a leak in the same part of the floatie, but it’s a much smaller leak and easier to live with. Bottom line: first one, great experience; second and third ones, bad experience. If you buy this I would advise you fill it up completely, let it sit a day or two, see if it has deflated in any way. If not, pool time! If so, return time. I say this because if you want to return it after you tried it out in your pool, it’ll be a pain because you have to wait until it completely dries before packaging it back up. EDIT: bought a new one in May (?) and it has been a dream. It faded very quickly but it has no holes and that’s all that really matters. Bought a new one for hubby and guess what? Biggest part of the floatie has a leak and it’s unusable. I procrastinated and now can’t return it. I think I’ve purchased 5 and 3 have been defective. I guess it’s a buyer beware situation now because although I love the floatie when it works, you can’t be sure it WILL work.

Water does get between mattress and cover weighing it down.
Just purchased and used for first time yesterday. This is a nice float and very comfortable. I was confused at first about inflation as there were no directions showing where the valves were located. And there are two, one for the pillow and one off to the shoulder of body section. Initially, I inflated only pillow and quickly realized there had to be another valve. It wasn't easy to find due to the cover being attached by these weird buttons that go all the way through the plastic raft. I think a zipper would work better or using something else to attach. Once inflation issue was fixed, I found it to be quite comfy. It's easy to flip your body over without tipping over. I do not like the fact that water penetrates between strange button holes making it difficult to flip raft out of the way or move out of pool. I'm sure water inside will lead to mold. It will require diligently removing cover and storing dry. However, I don't plan to deflate and inflate daily so chances are this will not last several seasons.
