Stuck my shoes soles really well

Needed to re heel a pair of walking boots, have used Angelus paints and dyes before with good results so assumed that quality would be a given. Prepared the boots and new heels prior to fixing, whacked a load of glue on as directed and clamped everything in position to allow curing. I was quite impressed that my makeshift clamping arrangement compressed the heel onto boot without any gaps.I left my achievement in a vice, to return in 24 hrs.24 hrs later I returned and removed my various clamps and strong back I had made. Now to trim the glued heel to the correct size. As I started to slice through the excess rubber around the heel, I noticed a crack appearing between the new heel and the old boot…….. I stopped cutting and pulled the heel away from the boot quite easily.Not to be defeated, I thought I’d try it as a contact adhesive, I cleaned both faces and covered them once again with glue. Whilst waiting for the faces to become tacky, they dried instead.I’ve just ordered some evo stick 528 contact adhesive, to do the job again properly. It’s my fault - why buy glue from a paint company? Buy glue from a glue company, you know it makes sense.

Bought this to repair the cork sole on a pair of Birkenstocks. Easy to apply and I left overnight to go off. The sandals have been used for a couple of months since and so far so good.

This worked for me, took my motorcycle boots to a well know high street shoe repairers, who were unable to undertake the repair, purchased the cement found some leather, water proof boots, saved > £200

Ça faisait un bout que je cherchais une bonne colle contact, mais rien de bon dans les grandes surfacesalors j'ai trouvé cette colle pour chaussures et wow ça colle en titi et c'est très solide.

My husband is notorious for having his boots fall apart at the sole. No clue how he does this. We usually use a different shoe glue, but it didn’t work this time, so I opted for the Angelus shoe cement. IT WORKED! It doesn’t have that crusty feel. It’s more flexible so moves with the glued sole and seems to be much more durable. It didn’t take long to cure (we left it 24 hours) and it was way cheaper to get this than new soles. Highly recommended!
