Where do I start with this movie? "Mrs. Doubtfire" is a masterpiece! Robin Williams does what he does best, God rest his soul in peace. Another movie that I have watched countless times and still find myself amazed at its production. It's funny, exciting, laugh-out-loud hilarious, and deeply emotional all at once. "Mrs. Doubtfire" is a blend of humor and heart. Robin Williams' performance is nothing short of extraordinary. His ability to switch between the loving father, and the wacky British nanny, Mrs. Doubtfire, showcases his unparalleled talent. The energy and comedic brilliance, he delivers in every scenes yet he never loses sight of the underlying emotional core of the story. The movie, is more than just a comedy; it's a moving exploration of family, love, and the lengths a father will go to be with his children. The laughter is genuine, the emotions are real, and the message is timeless. This movie is a testament to Robin Williams' legacy, a reminder of his immense talent and the joy he brought to the world. Love this movie and great watch with kids

It's such a funny movie and Robin Williams is so amazing. Each time I watch it I appreciate the attention to details: the acting,, and the presentation of the comedy -- the timing. Also it has a happy ending.

Good movie and extremely easy to rent, just a couple clicks on the remote.

A CLASSIC🤌🤌

What is not to like by fans of the late Robin Williams? He turns in another great comic performance as a loving parent in disguise. The plot is not particularly exciting, but, who is complaining? Any film with Robin Williams is watchable often. Sally Field is surprisingly good in the film. She is the perfect foil for Williams' humorous portrayal of a nanny-maid. The kids are cute and believable for the most part. It does stretch the credible pretty far to realize that the children do not recognize their father sooner than they do as the movie unfolds. The happy ending is nice, but not too credible given the lead character portrayed by Williams. Do such men really ever change? Definitely recommended.

Funny, Hilarious, ingenious makeup with some of the consequences when families breakup that affects the children when it is no longer is the same.

Es war mir immer ein großes Bedürfnis, mich einmal über den Künstler, Komiker und Schauspieler Robin Williams äußern zu können und dies möchte ich mit dieser kurzen Rezension hiermit tun. Ich war 10 oder 11 Jahre alt, als der Film in die Kinos anlief und ich zum ersten Mal eine Robin Williams Performance miterleben durfte und ich war hin- und hergerissen und hatte mich vor Lachen kaum noch halten können. Robin Williams' große Gabe war es jedes Kind zum Lachen bringen zu können. Allein durch Mimik, Gestik und seine Begabung Stimmen zu imitieren (grandios in "Aladdin", 1992), zog er jedes Kind in seinen Bann. "Mrs Doubtfire" gilt als Musterbeispiel für eine gelungene Komödie. Er war in der Lage seine ganze Physis mit in die Rolle einzubeziehen, doch das was mich am meisten an ihm beeindruckte, waren seine emotionalen Momente. Er gehörte zu den wenigen Schauspielern die es schafften, mich allein durch seinen Blick zum Weinen und zum Lachen zu bringen. Der Film hat eine sehr persönliche Bedeutung für mich. Ich war damals erst 10 bzw. 11 Jahre alt, als der Film anlief und auch meine Eltern gingen durch eine schlimme Scheidung und wir waren auch drei Kinder. Sogar noch jünger als die Kids im Film. Und das was mich bis heute am meisten zu Tränen rührt, sind die Gerichtsverhandlungen während des Filmes, in der meiner Meinung nach das wahre Talent eines Robin Williams zum Tragen kommt. Der Ausdruck in Robins Gesicht ohne auch nur ein Wort zu sagen, spricht Bände. Er besaß die Fähigkeit Verletzlichkeit, Freude, Leidenschaft, Hingabe, Güte und Liebe im selben Moment darzustellen. Diese Gabe habe ich so sehr an ihn bewundert und geschätzt, sodass ich im Nachhinein (noch als Kind) sagte, dass jeder Vater genau so sein sollte, wie Robin Williams 'Daniel Hillard' in "Mrs. Doubtfire" darstellte. Einen Mann der seine Kinder über alles liebt, nicht einen Tag ohne sie leben kann und sie pausenlos zum Lachen bringen möchte. Umso schlimmer traf es mich, als ich vom Tod (und vor allem der Todesursache) dieses außergewöhnlichen Mannes erfuhr. Näher möchte ich dazu nicht eingehen. Ich wünsche der Familie viel Kraft in dieser schweren Zeit. Die ganze Welt trauert mit euch. Er wird uns immer als liebevoller Charakterdarsteller und Stand-up Comedian in Erinnerung bleiben, der uns in Komödien ("Mrs. Doubtfire", "Flubber"...) Tragikomödien ("Awakenings", Dead Poets Society, "Patch Adams",...) , Fantasyfilmen ("Hook", "Jumanji", ...") oder auch Thriller ("Insomnia", "One Hour Photo") zum Lachen und auch zum Weinen bringen konnte. Die Blu-Ray ist noch einmal eine große Steigerung zur DVD und außerdem ist einiges an Bonusmaterial dabei. Auf vielen Blu-Ray's von Robin Williams-Filmen gibt es eine "Ein Blick zurück" Sektion, bei der sich einige Schauspieler, Produzenten und Regisseure noch einmal zu Wort melden. (siehe auch Blu-Ray's von "Dead Poets Society", "Good Will Hunting", ...") Noch eine Anmerkung an alle, die die Filme nicht in der Originalfassung sehen: Ich möchte keine Kritik an Peer Augustinski, dem Synchronsprecher von Robin Williams äußern, denn der macht seine Sache wirklich gut, doch bin ich selber ein großer Verfechter des Originals und möchte, dass ihr alle "Mrs. Doubtfire", sowie alle Robin Williams Filme (wenn nicht schon getan) einmal im O-Ton seht, denn da kommt die Genialität eines Robin Williams wirklich zum Vorschein. Allein der schottische Akzent von "Mrs. Doubtfire" ist Grund genug. We've lost a true angel. May you finally Rest in Peace, The unforgettable Robin Williams (1951-2014)
