Is this product able to be welded through?

Hello: The extreme heat involved in the welding process will disintegrate Rust Bullet, and most other coatings. If welding is necessary after Rust Bullet has already been applied, then it should be removed prior to welding and reapplied afterward. After curing, all Rust Bullet coatings have a service temperature of 314F (157C) continuous and can tolerate maximum temperatures up to 662F (350C) for up to 72 hours.

does it come in white?

Rust Bullet only comes in silver but had a very durable white top coat. I have used both the black and red top coat and it is very durable.

What kind of paint would use for finish coat.

All depends on what your painting. You could go on the cheap end and simply use rustoluem paints, or buy professional autobody primers and topcoats. I plan to topcoat with epoxy primer from a HVLP paint gun and then topcoat with the color I plan to paint the car i used the rust bullet on. I only used the paint on areas that are mostly hidden after final assembly, but want everything the same color.

It is not recommended to thin Rust Bullet Coatings. If you intend to spray with an HVLP, you can use a 2.0 tip. Rust Bullet is ready to use right from the can, and you would want to adjust your equipment as opposed to adjusting the coating. Once thinned, it in not the same formulation and will not work the same as when it was made. You can use Rust Bullet Solvent or Xylene for clean-up of equipment. Small and not that cheap!

Small and quite expensive! Does it work? Only time will tell. It applied to my small rusty panel on a project car ok but now and that was a only one week ago so time will prove it's worth but no rust has showed through yet. Delivery time was ok but can only give three stars at this point. Fingers crossed but ask me again in twelve months and after a winter on the road.

Nothing better out there.

If you have used Rust Bullet before you know there’s nothing else like it. It lays out like normal paint and does not bubble like POR-15. Worth the high price and they know it. Just wish they would find a better solution that the can…
