Maurer & Wirtz 4711 Acqua Colonia Pink Pepper & Grapefruit Eau De Cologne Spray Unisex 170ml/5.7oz

For those who boohoo the longevity of this scent, take note: it is an eau de cologne! It is designed to disappate after a couple of hours and then be reapplied or layered with an eau de Parfum for longevity. I absolutely love the bright, almost sharp hit of pink pepper that makes a bold entrance, only to be tapered by the juicy sweetness of grapefruit. It's lovely on it's own but when paired with a long lasting Parfum... It's phenomenal! I am an avid fan of the Arabic perfume houses (you'll find high quality scents for affordable prices, not to mention dupes for popular expensive scents.) One that I purchased recently was Lattafa Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst and while I REALLY appreciate the longevity of the perfume, I felt that it was missing a bit of brightness in the top notes. I layered the Acqua Colonia Pink Pepper & Grapefruit over the Lattafa Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst and WOW! The Acqua Colonia eau de cologne truly helped to bring the pink pepper notes of the Lattafa eau de Parfum to the forefront and helped carry that bright spiciness along throughout the dry down. I have purchased several different variations of the Acqua Colonia colognes because they truly give you more bang for your buck! Whether you opt to wear them on their own as a light scent or layer them to enhance your longer wearing perfumes, you really can't go wrong.

Love the fragrance. My only complaint would be that it doesn't last as long as I would like.

I was expecting something with a fresh scent of grapefruit, but I was wrong. It starts with a combination of faint grapefruit and spices and after it settles down it changes to a faint fragrance of spice and smoke. Not too much projection or strength so it makes it perfect for those who do not want to offend other people's olfactory sense. It does not last too long on your skin, maybe 4 to 5 hours from application to disappearance.

Versatile eau da cologne. Much lighter than a perfume. It goes on with a slight nose of alcohol that evaporates almost immediately. A fresh squeezed grapefruit lingers as the top note with a creamy pink peppercorn base. I compare this to two much more expensive perfumes, Guerlain & Jo Malone, which like the 4711 Acqua Colonias, are perfect for mixing, matching and layering. This one is fab layered with vanilla scents, the orange basil is decadent layered with patchouli or chocolate based perfumes or dust a light oriental perfume like Diptique Dosan or Jo Malone Earl Gray & Cuc with the 4711 lemon for a more complex scent. Wear alone for a simple, clean & fresh feel . Great buy, especially for the size.

I'm not sure how to think about this. I like it but I feel like it's for a woman that's at minimum 10 years older than I am. Originally brought this for my mom (just turned 60) and kept it for myself but realized I should have just given it to her because this is for a more mature woman. A man in my workplace that doesn't usually speak to me (lol) stopped me dead in my tracks and asked me what I was wearing because 'it smelled fantastic' (his words) and he wanted to buy for his wife. He looks at least late 40s maybe early 50s lol. If you're trying to catch the eye of a man of a particular age or are a woman of a more particular age this is the one for you. It's nice it just smells a little bit more mature than my years.

I bought my first bottle of this cologne in France and used my smaller bottle completely. I was so happy to find it on Amazon! It is a light and refreshing fragrance and will not "overwhelm" people standing close to you!

This cologne is perfect for a hot summer day! It is 111 degrees here in Bullhead City Arizona and I am wearing this refreshing cologne. It is a light fresh grapefruit scent with a hint of pepper and lasts about 4-5 hours in high heat on my skin. Ideal to spray on in morning out of shower to wake you up! I own many scents by this brand and love trying the new colognes when released. I highly recommend this cologne if you want a simple scent that won’t be cloying or too much in heat.

I like the soft feminine scent. And since it is a cologne, I have the option to splash or spray. Refreshing and cooling during these hot summer months. I use it immediately after showering, or spray or splash when the heat becomes unbearable.

J'adore les colognes, je les préfère aux parfums, surtout quand les beaux jours arrivent. Celle là m'a intrigué avec le poivre rose (j'adore le poivre dans les parfums). Le pamplemousse prend le dessus mais après qques minutes le poivre rose arrive. Meme si j'aurai préféré qu'elle soit plus poivrée, cette cologne est bien équilibrée, pas certaine qu'elle tienne dans le temps, mise sur les vetements elle ne tache pas. J'aurais aimé un bouchon qui se dévisse pour pouvoir la splasher généreusement !
