Primal Kitchen Chocolate Coconut Collagen Peptide Mix- 1.25lb

What I love best about this collagen powder is that it mixes well in my coffee. I struggle to get enough protein, so this is an easy way to get it! I have been buying it for a couple years now and for me, nothing beats it! The ingredients are clean and I personally enjoy the taste!

I’ve tried Ancient Nutrition (AN), Vital Proteins (VP), and Primal Kitchen (PK) brands. I gotta say, primal kitchen is far and away the tastiest and most enjoyable of them all. 1. PK doesn’t use nasty Stevia for sweetening! Other brands are far too sweet per serving and use nasty stevia. PK has a mild enjoyable sweetness without being overpowering. I love almond joy and mounds bars. Each scoop of PK has a pleasant chocolate/ coconut flavor.. in fact, without coffee, a scoop or two in hot water with a little milk makes a very satisfying cup of cocoa! (Although, one might add a dash more chocolate for a bolder hot chocolate. ) AND contains 11-22g of protein! That is 2-4 g more than the competition! It adds a lovely creamer to your morning coffee. AND… it doesn’t leave mud on the bottom of your cup like the others! Truly a pleasant experience. Finally, per ounce, it’s significantly less expensive than the other brands! (Although still rather pricey) I’ve tried Ancient Nutrition, Vital Proteins, and Other brands are sweetened with nasty stevia. —One serving scoop is cloyingly too sweet…. (& with nasty stevia…) — The unsweetened/unflavored version smells off and tastes funky and does NOT improve the enjoyment of one’s morning coffee. —- It doesn’t mix well and unless one drinks the cup fairly quickly, it leaves “mud” on the bottom of the cup—either that or one ends up with a disgustingly ‘thick ‘ last couple swallows.

Decided I should try the vanilla one and I’m glad I did. I love them both and plan on alternating. The vanilla mixes perfect, the chocolate does get a little something towards the end of your coffee, but I can deal with that. The flavor is so nice that’s not something that’ll stop me! I warm up my milk first then add this, froth and in goes the coffee. Perfect for me every time. I still use a sweetener. The vanilla is sweeter than the chocolate one. Both are keepers!

I wanted to give this a five star because of the taste and simple ingredients but it does not mix well at all even in hot coffee which is a bummer! I feel like I’m leaving a lot that’s stuck to the sides and bottom behind even after using a frother.

This is one of my absolute favorite protein powders! This stuff is like a tropical vacation for my joints and skin. Seriously, my creaky knees are doing the salsa, and my hair is so shiny I'm practically a disco ball. And the taste? Forget about it! It's like a decadent chocolate coconut dream, but without the guilt. I mix it into my smoothies, stir it into my coffee (makes a killer mocha!), and sometimes I just drink it straight because it's that good. It dissolves easily, no clumping or weird texture, which is a huge win. If you're looking for a delicious and effective way to get your collagen fix, look no further. Primal Kitchen nailed it with this one. My only complaint? The container is never big enough! I need a Costco-sized version, stat!

I LOVE this collagen powder! It is a staple for me blended in my morning coffee. I love that it gives me a morning protein boost and makes my coffee delicious.

Saw Jennifer Garner's recipe including this on facebook so thought I'd give it a try. This is my second tub now that I've just about finished. Jennifers recipe calls for 2 scoops, but the usage on the tub say one, so I've actually just been using one, as otherwise I'd go through this too fast. I find it blends well with water alone. I just add some ice, banana, ground flaxseed, peanut butter, water and blend and it comes out smooth and delicious. I don't find much flavor with just one scoop - to be honest. I taste more the banana or peanut butter or whatever I add. Sometimes I add spinach also as per Jennifers recipe. Also on the meal replacement side, I don't find it filling at all and often still need something else. I didn't buy it as a meal replacement though, so this doesn't bother me. I will keep using for now as I like the ingredients list on this one. I haven't really noticed anything as a result of taking this as yet.

Great flavor!If you like to add ice, it best not to add much. I used a smoothie blender & chocolate almond milk with no lumps, however it gets foamy very quickly which is undesirable to me ( why I gave 3 stars). Really like that it has few & natural ingredients. Wish there were more servings per container tho. Review for Chocolate Cocunut
