Mexican Hot Chocolate Truffle Bar

If you like your chocolate with a spicy heat you will love this chocolate bar with a lot of cayenne pepper in it. It seems like the cinnamon and vanilla are not as prominent. The flavor of this bar lingers in your mouth for a long time after you eat the bar so it is fairly memorable. The chocolate itself seems a little more dark than milk chocolate but not quite as intense as a regular dark chocolate. ~The Rebecca Review

Delicious! Just a hint of heat/spice. I love having a square when I’m craving something sweet but trying to watch my sugar intake.

I just rec’d this yesterday. The wrapper was open, the chocolate had that ashy discoloration on it indicating oxidation/age. The expiration date was July 2026. Channeled my in 8 year old child and ate a wee piece. Yup…old…noticed the bite of spicy pepper on the end…threw the rest in the trash cause I’m in my decrepitude and I ain’t eating no old az chocolate bar. Be better.

I was disappointed with the minimal level of spice, but my biggest issue was that it actually tasted very SALTY. It was very unexpected for this flavor profile.

You really taste all the flavors it promises! So it was worth it as a gourmet treat. I’ve actually just had a square every once in a while. It is a strong flavor, and for this price- make it last.
