The hitch receiver and shackle are well made with excellent fit and finish. It should stand up well to abuse and weather. The locking pin is weather protected with a sealed cap on one end (the lock) and an o-ring seal on the other. Nice chrome finish on the pin. The shackle's threaded bolt is high quality with excellent threads, which makes turning the bolt easy. Overall impression is that this is a well-made strong unit.

Came in a high end package, looks very nice. Quality product with all the required add-ons to work. Love this, and would absolutely buy other product from this vendor.

I bought this for a rear recovery point on a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. I have the trailer hitch which uses bolts used by the std rear recovery point. I haven't used it for recovery yet but it looks like a solid piece of gear. Now if only someone would build a decent, weather and theft-resistient locking pin so i could leave this in the rear receiver....

As a lot of people have pointed out, the base is definitely not steel, has to be aluminum but the clevis is steel. I haven't used it yet but I'm sure it will do the job. The price is great and I would recommend this!

I bought this shackle hitch to use on my Kawasaki Mule MX Pro. I've used it several times to pull a stuck UTV out of the mud. And to skid 20" maple saw logs out of a tight area in the woods, The shackle is ideal for these types of use, and also attractive in appearance mounted on my red Mule.

So I use this thing for something entirely different than everyone else. I use it to keep my hitch from scraping when I am wheeling. It has been drug through Moab and is awesome! SUPER strong and has taken a BEATING! Love it!

Great quality 2” hitch mounted D ring for use with town strap or Bubba rope for pulling someone out when stuck.

I love how nice and easy works with a large tow straps and ropes, covered with mud and snow still works great. Definitely ordering one more for another truck since this on works and looks fantastic!

Solid chunk of metal, I haven't had to use it for any recovery situations yet, but no doubt it will do the job. The red is nice, but I just leave it in my recovery bag until needed. Good price for what it is.
