Love this mousse! Goes on smooth, dries quickly, and gives a natural, streak-free tan. No orange tint, no strong self-tanner smell, and the color lasts for days. Easy to build up for a deeper glow. Definitely works—highly recommend! I used a glove to apply and followed up with my regular lotion. The pictures are after I showered from a full day of it on. You can see where I missed applying it. Just look at that color-white to tanned! I also reapplied to those spots and kept it on overnight and it looks blended now. Didn’t stain my sheets. I purchased this because of cost. I used to use coco & honey but in two months they up’s their price to $40. I will be using this brand now!

Pros: the color is a great summer glow! The smell is actually pretty good which is unusual for self tanners Cons: there’s no guide color so you have to make sure you pay attention when putting the product on, especially on your back. It does transfer so be careful on white or if you have blond hair, make sure it’s fully pulled back after it’s applied and after you wash it off. Even after washing with soap, and using a wipe, there is still product coming off, so protect your beautiful blond mane by keeping all hair off your face and neck (so you won’t turn brassy- and blond shampoo won’t fix it either!!) All in all- I really love this self tanner and I use it weekly. But if you are buying it thinking it’s fully fool proof and non transferring, it’s not!

i’ve done a few reviews before, but I am so impressed with this stuff I had to do another. I've tried numerous creams and lotions and and ended up, smelling from the product with a blotchy, uneven tan afterwards. This is undoubtedly the best stuff I have ever used. I’ve only had it a month and I’ve used it three times (I wanted to deepen my tan). I wanted to get the water but they were out so I ended up getting the foam which I’m really glad of because when I put it on it lays a little bit of a film like soap does when you’re washing so you can tell where you’re going with it but it quickly disappears so I’ve had an even tan for four weeks now. It dries quickly and there’s no smell. By the second day there is a bit of that self tanning smell, but I just use a moisturizer with a nice scent and it covers it right up. I use a small mit I already had and disposable gloves when I apply it. If you’re looking for something easy that works I highly recommend this. I’ve used it three times and been generous with it and have maybe used an inch from the bottle if that much. it’s pretty amazing stuff. I’m really impressed.

I’m super pale and I find that the Dark mousse needs about 4 back to back applications to be the darkest it can be. Basically 2x daily applications to get the darkest shade fast. I apply the 1st application the night before and make sure to get my hands. The only part of my body during this application that will actually develop a tan are hands, kind of just working to “prime” my body for the next applications and not develop much at all. In the morning I’ll shower as usual then afterward do the 2nd application SKIPPING my hands. I’ll apply extra to coats to the areas that fade the quickest/take the longest to develop then use baby powder to set it. On the evening of the second day, when I take my third shower, I’ll exfoliate my hands to even them out and use a very soapy sponge to lightly exfoliate my entire body - this step is crucial - I make sure to focus on any darkness that may have accumulated on my knees/elbows or any areas looking patchy. After the shower I do my third application and make sure to do my hands again and again, apply extra coats to any areas that take forever to develop. I will apply extra to any part of my face that hasn’t developed well OR to the places I want to tantour. On the morning of the third day my tan will be pretty much at the shade I want, but I’ll double after my shower and apply a 4th layer, skipping the hands. I know it’s a lot, but it’s worth it because Tanologist is hands down the most FOOOOLPROOF self Tanner I’ve ever used. Like, I’ve never used anything that fades as well as this does. The fact this is needs to be built up is a Pro rather than a con because there’s literally no way that you can accidentally mess this up (unless you don’t blend it well or don’t blend it into dry skin). If you use moisturizer prior to this product, it will develop much slower. If you sweat while you are wearing this, it will not develop at all. Skin needs to be kept completely dry. I really recommend using baby powder/body powder to dry the skin and tone down the scent of it. This doesn’t dry my skin out or make me itch like Btan does, also, this has never caused me any skin issues or acne. This is wonderful on the face. Word of warning, once the tan is built up, if you don’t moisturize your skin the tan will start breaking down, impart a “dried up cracked riverbed” look and appear as if it’s flaking off. Using a good moisturizer will extend the tan’s longetivty for a week or longer, but I find that I need to apply it to my face every 2-3 days because I double cleanse and use a sponge to exfoliate my face daily. No complaints, highly recommend it! One bottle gets a minimum of 4 maximum of 5 treatments, and more = more.

This is absolutely my new favorite self tanner! My old self tanner that I love is starting to become hard to buy as it’s a European company that stopped selling to the US after the whole tariffs debacle and the only 1 product they still had available to buy on Amazon keeps selling out. I’ve tried many other self tanners that I did not like so I was a little skeptical on trying this one as I’ve also not been a fan of mousse. The application was very easy, I probably used more than enough so now I can gauge how much I need as to not waste product. At first, during the 1st few hours I still wasn’t too sure if I was going to like it (I applied it in the morning after my shower). Come night time before bed, the color was perfect(I bought the medium)! I did not take another shower until the next morning to really get a good deep color and it did not stain my bedsheets or anything. Will definitely buy again. Sorry forgot to take before/after pics.

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but I truly dislike this product. I tried it because I wanted something more affordable than the other brands but… you get what you pay for apparently! I thought the first application was just a fluke, but I did another application last night and it was not a fluke. First off, it stays sticky even when “dried.” I ran a fan on me while I was applying it thinking that would help. It didn’t. My sheets stayed stuck to me all night. Second, the smell is there which is to be expected by any self tanner but the first application I could hardly deal with it. Third, this is only my 2nd application and half the bottle is gone already. I’m not a big girl, so there isn’t much product. Fourth, the “dark” isn’t dark. I would say it’s a medium for other brands. I even added more foam this last application and it is a nice light/medium except on my hands and feet. I’ve never had an issue with application before until this brand. I look like I’m wearing a skin toned fingerless glove on my hands. My feet haven’t been much better either application (again, only a problem with this brand. I have not changed technique, just product). And it doesn’t last long (thank gosh for my hands!). It lasts a few days at best. The only problem is that I haven’t noticed transfer on my sheets which stuck to me due to the stickiness. I’ll be going back to Bondi. I wish I could get my money back for this. I hate writing bad reviews, I truly do but I researched before changing products and now I’m annoyed with a bad self tan.

This one fell a bit short. It takes an hour + to dry and is sticky until then. I will say this is pretty dark. I normally buy dark self tan to get a dark enough tan, but this one was too dark for me. I say that as a good thing. I also thought it smelled pretty nice and like that is a clean self tan, that’s hard to find.

Applies nicely on application but doesn’t give a dark tan and it goes SO patchy after a couple of days despite moisturising daily. Won’t be repurchasing
