Fundamental Accounting Principles 21st Edition

I ordered this book Friday for a class that started Monday. I had signed up last minute for the class and was worried it wouldn't arrive in time but it got there in time! The book is actually in a lot better condition than I expected. The corners are a little worn and it probably wouldn't be considered good enough to take in as a resell at a college bookstore but it definitely gets the job done and all of the material is there. It was such a great price I really don't mind just keeping it for my own personal collection so I can look back on the material if I ever need to. I would definitely make a purchase like this again.

I see that others have not received a Connect Plus code, but I felt confident ordering this since it was directly from Amazon and I verified the package ISBN before ordering. I was not disappointed. The package ISBN my school requires is: 9780077785925, which is the book plus the access card (it is inside the shrink wrap on the back of the book). If you need this package for school, just verify the ISBN and order it with enough time to return it if it does not have the Connect Plus card for some reason. In other words, it is worth saving $70 - $100, but just be sure not to wait until the day before school starts to order it.

Despite reading the other reviews which mentioned the lack of a Connect Plus card, I ordered it anyway. Saving $100 over the price of the school bookstore was worth the risk in my opinion since I could always return it. I ordered it NEW and the book, along with card, arrived in two days. The book itself is wrapped in clear plastic and it was very easy to see that the card was included before opening. A few minutes later I was on the Connect website registering my account and class. My guess is that others ordered it as USED, which is why they did not get a card.

I ordered this book expecting an access card. When you purchase a NEW Textbook, it is expected to be wrapped. This was not TWICE. I returned the first and received a second non wrapped textbook. At this price it is a rip off to not get the access card. The other reviews make the decision to order confusing. Some get the card some don't. New books should be wrapped, therefore the card would be with the book. If I didn't want the card I would have rented or bought used. One good thing customer service was efficient, they didn't fix the problem, but did provide return labels for both books. I feel Amazon is misleading the buyer on this product. This is the first time I've ever encountered a problem with Amazon, very disappointed.

This is a great book for accounting. It’s easy to read and understand. Would recommend for any one in accounting

At over 1000 pages, Fundamental Accounting Principles provided comprehensive coverage of every topic I encounter in my accounting practice. It is an excellent reference tool for anyone interested in basic accounting principles in a real world business environment.

My college bookstore sells this book with Connect access under the same ISBN, but I thought I would save a few dollars and buy it from Amazon instead. The Amazon description led me to believe that a Connect code would also be included with this book. I did see the other reviews stating otherwise, but figured they ordered it used or from a 3rd party and that is why the code wasn't included. I made sure to purchase a "new" book "shipped and sold" by Amazon, but still no Connect code. I now have to pay an additional fee for Connect. It would have been cheaper for me to purchase a new copy with Connect from the college bookstore or maybe I would have purchased a used copy of the book on Amazon if I'd have known Connect was not included. The Amazon book description could be worded a little better. Rating three stars as I do not yet have an opinion of the book itself. I may change the rating as I work my way through the book.Note: The book does mention a 3-week free trial of Connect for those who want to try it before spending more money. However, Connect access is a requirement in my class.Update: Looks like the product description has since changed and there is even a note saying that it is a standalone book. I'm glad the description has been updated.

Used for a first year college accounting class, this edition is much cheaper than the hard bound. It is very thick so be prepared to have a 2 1/2" ring binder to hold it. My daughter had the e-text version of this as well, which worked fine but having the paper version in hand is much simpler to manage during class, taking notes, etc.
