Great product
Love this dehydrator! Used for drying herbs, mushrooms, vegetables from the garden. Drying time depends a lot on type of food. When filled with a mixture of herbs, it will take about 6-7 hours at 50C to dry them. Some herbs take longer to dry (lovage, celery, parsley), some will dry in no time (fennel, marjoran leaves). Also dried finely sliced onion and garlic. Dried these at 60C. Dried perfectly. It is a good practice to open and check the drying process. This way you will figure soon enough best times and temperatures for whatever you drying. I certainly recommend this dehydrator! It does the job! And its light and easy to operate.

Impressive Jerky Machine. Fast, even, and easy to clean.
I have been using a cheap plastic unit to make jerky for years. Fortunately, I dropped it last week and decided to get an upgrade. WHAT AN UPGRADE! QUALITY: The great build quality is instantly noticeable. Everything down to the satisfying clunk of the magnet catches on the door is top notch. Aluminium case, glass door, plastic is kept to a minimum. Very quiet operation. Nice and loud beep when you want it. EFFECTIVENESS: I mostly make beef jerky. I didn't change any setting I just turned it on. In just under two hours, I had 5 trays of evenly cured meat ready to go. They came straight off the trays with no effort and left little trace. For comparison, my old plastic dehydrator would take 4-5 hours to make the same jerky. I would have to check it every hour to turn over the meat and remove the bits that were ready because it didn't cure them evenly. CLEANING: I used the fruit puree tray as a drip tray. I also left a gap around the edge of each tray. After use I found one tiny splash on the inside of the unit, the rest was caught by the drip tray. The curing trays went straight into the dishwasher and there were no traces of residue to warrant further cleaning. Over time I think there is the possibility of splash build up on the back fan behind the mesh, but that would take a lot of heavy use to become a hygiene issue. CAPACITY: Three large beef steaks cut into 4mm thick strips only filled 5/6 trays. At first look the trays seemed small but because there is no central void for air flow the usable space is actually better than my old plastic one. If the unit breaks down in the first year I will report back but so far, so so good!

Good dehydrator
Only used it to dehydrate bananas so far and it did a great job. Very easy to use and lots of room inside. The unit gets quite warm when at higher temperatures, and the mains wire touches against the back of the unit and gets warm so I pull the wire very slightly away from the back of the unit to stop it getting warm and that works well. Its not super quiet, if you are in the next room you can hear it and it sounds about as loud as an air purifier or a fan, certainly not loud or distracting. It is very easy and intuitive to use, and a good price, bananas took 12 hours, didn't turn them, just checked them now and then and they came out lovely and crisp. If you read the review on here where someone says it doesn't dehydrate bananas well, you'll notice they dehydrated the banana whole. You are supposed to slice up the food you dehydrate usually unless its small pieces, that review did put me off buying this dehydrator at first but it is a good dehydrator and well worth the money.

Good quality, good size.
I have recently purchased this to dehydrate nuts and grains. Am pleased with the simple settings and glass screen so can monitor the food. Easy to clea and robust stainless steel trays. Six tray drying capacity is perfect. The nuts taste great. Only wish it came with a leaflet/booklet giving guidance on dehydrating temperature and time length for the different foods that can be dehydrated e.g. nuts, seeds, herbs, meat etc. Had to research online.

The best desiccator I’ve ever seen!
This unit is Huge! I love this thing! Stainless steel construction - none of you dodgy oriental plastics, just a large chamber made of metal. Long run times. Low and high temperatures in 5°C steps. Easy to clean. Only downside is that multi-temperature drying is a manual affair. You set a start temp, then have to come back and change it later if needed. Bought to dry the some of the food we started growing after converting our garden into an allotment - at the start of the 2020 apocalypse. Have used for ginger, onions, apples, bell peppers, and all manner of spices. Has coped admirably with everything I have put in there. Also comes with a drip-tray and one nylon(?) small-mesh sheet for smaller items. The airflow is low enough that dried food is not blown around the inside of the dryer. Don’t waste your money on a cheap (expensive!) pieces of plastic junk. Additional comment (10Jul21): Have had absolutely no issues with this unit whatsoever. It is used several times a week for about 10-15 hours, depending on what is drying. There is one thing to watch out for - if you have a 'helpful' partner/friend who is not familiar with the default operating settings - We had to go out during a drying session a few days ago, and not wanting to leave it unattended, I switched it off when we left. When we returned, hubby helpfully switched it back on for me without telling me. I was curing some garlic for storage (15hrs @35°C), but when the unit is switched on, it defaults to 10hrs at **70°C!** I caught it after only a couple of minutes, but just keep in mind the initial starting temperature of 70°C when you turn it on. It would have been MUCH BETTER to default to 35°C to save ruining anything that is heat sensitive. Also, it would have been nice to have the heat range go from no heat, to 70°C in 5°C steps instead of having a minimum temperature of 35°C. Extra Use-Case: I have since bought a second one of these and use it in my workshop as a speed-dryer for painted and 2-part resin-coated 3D-printed customer objects. I fitted a dust filter to the air intake and extraction covers to the exhaust vents. Works extremely well at this task.

I have not used the machine a lot yet, only once to dry fruit, and twice to dry mushrooms. All in all I am very happy with the machine, below are my pro's and cons. Pro's - The six included trays fit a lot of stuff. - Operation is simple (on/off button / time left / temperature from 40 to 70C) - You can open/close the door while the machine keeps working - It works very well - It is not very noisy - It heats the room - I have noticed when drying mushrooms you can save some energy by switching it on say for 10 mins and then off for 10 and keep doing that for a while (you have to do it manually). Con's - The machine is quite deep and takes more space than your average microwave. - The surface underneath gets very hot - You cannot program temperature changes or switch on/off at intervals - It does consume quite a bit of power - You cannot switch off the beeping sound it makes when starting the machine.

When it is a dehydrator and not a freezedryer I will use it to dry fruit and mushrooms, maby herbs. I really hope it can be ysed for that.

Funktion: Was soll man sagen - der Dörrautomat funktioniert.
