Easy to use, reliable and stylish - say goodbye to carrying keys everywhere
Super easy to install (we had to move it to top due to dead bolt being in the way but no biggie) - has worked great and I like all the different options we have to get in. We just use fingerprint which works well

Keypad Lock
One of The Best Fingerprint Door Knobs I Have Bought! Definitely Easy To Install. It Comes With Keys, Cards, Fingerprint, Keypad for Code, and It Also Has A App You Can Use To Unlock Your Lock. Minimal Noise When locking and unlocking. I ordered the silver color. Very functional and overall great product.

I wish there was a 6th star. Honestly one of the best products I've gotten on Amazon.
For reference I had Lowe's Iris before it folded, I now have Samsung Smart-things and Amazon Alexa. My house is pretty smart. I've got devices galore from lots of different generations and brands. I have the Schlage Connected Smart Keypad Z-Wave Lever. I'm pretty used to the various challenges of working with equipment like this. In all of my time doing stuff like this I have never found a single item that made me say yes like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally, until now. The order. I generally lean towards sold and fulfilled by Amazon, but the steep review curve for 5 stars and the acceptable window of 3 to 5 days even though I was ordering in the wee hours of a Sunday morning was acceptable, if it was as good as people said. I got it in 2 days after the first day a person could have seen it. I have no gripes there. Amazon level of delivery and that really is the gold standard today. yes... The package. It arrived and the first thing I noticed was that it was HEAVY. Like, is this shrink wrapped bricks? Is it a slab of lead, DU? A brief shake indicated that there was only the tiniest of jingles inside it. Now I was intrigued. I opened the package which was designed and implemented like it held high end scientific devices with everything in its own perfectly sized recessed pocket in the high density closed cell foam. Nested packages were as individualized as made sense. Screws separated by stage of install and door configuration. Stick on protection for any surface of the parts that you wouldn't want scratched. Physically, the shipment, the packaging, and all of the pieces were perfect. Yes... The install. It was much easier than the Schlage. Hard to read instructions, NOPE, super easy to follow video with shots done from angles that make sense for that stage. They even include a QR code if you don't feel like typing the supplied URL. It was so easy and smooth that I really can't say anything about it. If you have a Phillips head screwdriver and thumbs you can do this. Heck, you may even be able to do it without thumbs. Test it once it's installed and you're done. YES... Setup. Now I thought, the real nightmare probably begins. For comparison, with the Schlage, to program anything you really need the home automation side. With Lowe's Iris it was bearable but usually if I wanted to push changes to it I had to demount it and walk it over closer to the hub. It frequently required multiple attempts and sometimes ended up in a worse configuration as it wiped ones I wanted to keep and didn't load ones I did. Smart-things is even worse. Third party IDEs to interface and cobbled together rats nests of code. I use this part to do this, but that part to do that, this one only runs in Classic, that one runs in the new version unless you want to do this other thing then you have to run in classic... That's not the case here. Download one easy to find App from the app store. It's the only one and it's obvious. Again there's a video along with another QR code to get to it. I must confess that I didn't watch it. I opened the App. Login or Register? I guess register. Yup. Phone number, uh huh. SMS code came in, yup. Touch the knob to put it in pairing mode, ok. Oh it's paired and done and I'm in? That's pretty straight forward. Ohhhh... Configuration. Let's see what we've got here. Plainly legible and easily navigable? Pleasantly surprising, clean and clear. I'm tingly. Ok, I see pass codes lets check that out. Standard 3 dot drop down menu add, clear, etc. Add. Permanent. Wow that was crazy intuitive. Finger prints? I could go on, but seriously coming from other systems I can say that it is literally the most clean and intuitive FUNCTIONAL UI I have ever worked with. EVERYTHING is where and how you would think it should be. Everything that can be done with it is simple to implement with explanations available where you might need it, voice prompts, etc... YES YES YES YES!!!! In short, I love it. If you are looking to smarten up your entry control at a good price with no hassle, then you should have what he's having, Sifely.

Security risk, door unlocks and opens on its own.
UPDATE: customer service was great in contacting me regarding the troubles I was having and they were extremely responsive and helpful. I did purchase the gateway and that seems to help a lot for my situation. Changed the rating to 4 stars largely due to customer service support. While this lock was easy enough to install, seems pretty solid lock. learning its features and functions is a bit more challenging. Thankfully the fob was easy to program and makes entry a bit easier during the learning curve. However, there has been more than 2 instances where I went to my property and not only was the door unlocked the door was actually open, how does that even happen? When leaving I have checked and double checked the lock after the first time this happened, door is closed, lock is engaged, batteries are new and still this happens again creating a terrible security issue. I have also now purchased the “optional” gateway, but will not i’m not sure the lock will be in the door long enough to even try that to see if it makes anything easier. It is too late to try return the lock I’m sure , but maybe I can still get my money back in the gateway. I have reached out to the manufacturer, hopefully I will get some answers.

Great lock, very convenient, and great customer service
We got these locks initially for a second home we plan to Airbnb when we're not there, 2 of them to cover front and back doors. The ability to easily add and remove temporary access codes from anywhere will make it much easier to handle guests. But once we had them, we liked them so much we got two more for our main house. We love being able to get in with a simple fingerprint scan, much easier even than other combination electronic locks if you're carrying heavy groceries or similar, and we never have to worry about carrying keys. The fingerprint reader is also fast, and much more reliable than my phone. We love the flexibility to issue codes to let a friend or cat-sitter in without giving them permanent access. And we love that we don't have to worry about forgetting to lock the door behind us — Sifely does that for us. Then there's the customer service — it's only when something goes wrong that you have to deal with this, but it's a good test of a company. We bought 4 of these locks, and had a problem with just one of them. It would say it was unlocked when we put in the code or our fingerprint, but we still couldn't open the door. Amazon's customer service couldn't handle this for us — they could send us a new lock, but we had to get the door open to replace it. Sifely's customer service reimbursed the cost of a locksmith to open the door (allowing us to change out the lock) AND sent us a replacement lock. The replacement works perfectly. I don't think this problem is common, but it's good to know that if things really do go wrong, Sifely still has your back. The only caveat is that changing/adding codes or fingerprints requires Bluetooth access to the lock if you only own this item (i.e. you have to be physically present to do it.) If you want to be able to add/change these from anywhere, which we need for the Airbnb place but not for the main home, you'll have to buy a separate Sifely "Gateway" to do it. Luckily, it's not too expensive, at roughly $40 on sale. One gateway can support several locks, in reasonably close range.

REVIEWED AT MAY 2024. I bought another similar from the "brother brand" and noticed it has the same wrong behavior, moving the internal lever upwards makes impossible to open it from outside, it accepts the fingerprint or IC card but never moves the latch. To me, it is a faulty design. OIRGINAL COMMENT: Very good characteristics and very solid materials. The installation is done in a very short time, it is really easy. However, I noticed that moving the internal handle up, i.e. contrary to the direction to open and move the latch, the system is not available to open at all, neither using fingerprints, administration code, electronic keys, etc. The only way to open it is to use the physical key provided or if it opened from inside. This is really weird to me. It is not good at all for housing rentals (such as Airbnb). Imagine a guest who involuntarily moves the handle up before leaving, he will never be able to enter again!!! S/he will have to call the administrator to go (probably travel from far) to open the door. This is even worse when the intelligent lock is intended to the main door of a building, where there are several apartments, the involuntary handle movement will make impossible for all tenants to enter the building and they have to call and wait for the administrator to bring the physical key to open the main door ... how annoying and shocking it can be whether this happens in the middle of the night. The support service that is really good and responsive, told me that it could be a defective factory lock and offered me to replace it, however, I am living in Japan and this lock was a kind of US import article, therefore, it was impossible to return it or receive a new one from factory. Fortunately, Amazon's return window was still open and I could return this defective lock. I hope to find another smart lock that has the same characteristics like this, robust enough but fault free.

I never have to carry keys anymore! It’s such a freedom I’ve never known. The set up and installation was quite easy. This product pays for itself, you’ll never have to pay for a locksmith again or get lost keys cut. It’s a great quality if life improvement for sure. The fingerprint reader works 95% of the time, I’d say the 5% it doesn’t work is completely my fault for not placing my finger correctly or if it’s a bit dirty.

Installation took longer than anticipated as our door didn’t have a big enough hole to fit everything attached to the lock so we’ve had to cut a bigger hole. Once everything’s screwed in place, setting up everything on the app was really easy (passcode, fingerprint, card). So far so good, haven’t had any problems locking/unlocking. One thing I wasn’t sure about was how to lock the door from outside without using my phone and it turns out that it locks automatically after 5 seconds (default) of the door being closed - can be changed to longer/shorter delay. Fingerprint is very convenient and is the one I use the most. Phone, passcode and access card as back up.

At last a product that eliminates the need for front door keys. An issue did arise with the handle that Sifely Support Team promptly sorted for me with little fuss. Delighted with the quality of the lock and ease of use.
