Great, fresh tasting bell peppers!
The moment I first opened this canister, my kitchen smelled of fresh peppers. They are just amazing and so handy when you’re out of fresh or it’s the time of year when fresh just don’t look that ‘fresh’ in the grocery store. They are always available to me right up on my cupboard shelf. I like to cover in boiling water for a few moments to reconstitute them when adding to pizza or another recipe unless I’m making soup which of course will do the trick by itself in the broth. I’ve started to add other dried veggies to my cupboard as well as a result of these gems. Now no matter what time of year it is, I can make nutritious recipes that taste like they contain fresh veggies.

Excellent in beans amd soups. Will certainly reorder.
excellent for Including in soups, beans and other things of a soupy nature. As a stand alone the quality to include in fajitas isnt there, but you can't tell the difference between this and fresh bell peppers in a pot of beans. A small handful goes a long way amd packs a lot of flavor. When this runs out I will purchase again, it's something I have come to think of as a good dry food staple in the pantry.

O.M.Gosh! next best thing to fresh !!!!!!
OMG! next best thing to fresh !!!!!! I store these in the freezer to maintain freshness. They have awesome flavor and store for like ever. These are really easy to use, Since I'm pretty much home bound, having these on hand save me from a 30 mile round trip drive into town to the big box grocery store. I usually buy fresh, then clean and chop up fresh produce to freeze for use in soups and stews. But that takes a lot of time and freezing causes ice crystals which destroy texture of veggies and delicate and robust flavors. These freeze dried have lost very little, they taste almost like fresh cut veggies. I'm soooo impressed, These are so much better then brand name spice manufacture freeze dried products. I have used almost all of HARMONY's products now, and all are top notch and flavorful. MOST LIKE FRESH THEN ANYTHING I HAVE EVER TRIED ! you cant go wrong here. NOTE: rehydrate the copped onions in a little water and refrigerate a bit to firm up. THEY are fantastic on hot dogs, bruats and burgers !

Steep price, Good product
Yeah, this may not be a great value. I like to keep dehydrated, canned, and freeze dried alternatives to veggies around in case I run out of fresh, or something happens. These bell peppers are absolutely amazing. They taste much more like chili peppers than fresh bell peppers do. The flavor is incredible. And they hold together until chewed, really well. I have been feuding with Amazon and not submitting reviews or answering questions recently, but I had to comment on this product. I don't like the price at all, but it's really good nonetheless.

Great Value and Flavor
Sometimes we all need a fast breakfast but still homemade. I had bought a big box of some dried egg cups that were microwaveable for my son before school mornings. I tried one and they were pretty good. I noticed they had dried onions and dried peppers and just some flavorings in with the dried egg and thought, “Hey we can do this!” I didn’t buy dried egg, because we usually have fresh eggs on hand, but these are great, thrown in when you start scrambling eggs, so they soak up the moisture, especially with a shake of minced onions and a shake of garlic powder. It is a simple and quick, easy, hot breakfast. Not as quick as the microwave cups, and a frying pan to clean, but so worth it. I definitely will keep stocking up on these. I prefer fresh veggies for my soups and stews because I have more time in the afternoons to make those, but these really help add some good veggies and flavor to a quick breakfast.

^^^same review as the similar celery product I bought & did review for...
This review is from: Celery Leaf and Stalk, 2 oz. (Misc.) This product is a wonderful alternative to fresh celery in my opinion. After all, it is fresh celery captured & dried in its natural state. The flavor is pretty much the same either way. I'm definitely not a liker of fresh celery in snacking, crudités, or the like. That stringiness is too much & the flavor is a definite preferential one. This dislike/liking applies to bell peppers too, I just don't like eating them but love their added flavor. Weird right? Well, I grind these flakes or veggies into a powder & use in any food application where the desired flavor is wanted or needed. Recipes like cold seafood salads, pasta salads are perfect receptors & enhances ( vice versa ) of these flavors. Also, salads in general, hot fowl, pork, fish & beef dishes too welcome these flavors easily. This is also a gr8 way to get the people who are "vegetably impaired" to get the benefits/ nutrients they need from these veggies. You can almost sneak them into their food & they most likely will not know. All they know is that your dish is uber flavorful & delicious. Also try the powdery goodness in smoothies & shakes. Good eats 2 ya*

Love this mix, if you soak it first it is great for putting on meat before grilling or roasting. You can also mix other dried herbs in for extra flavour. Nice big jar, not that expensive.
