Love these play eggs! They are about the size of normal eggs, and come in a nice yellow carton. These are great for my one year old and are awesome for developing her grip strength, coordination, and fine motor. Also great as they grow to work on color/shape recognition, pretend play, and matching. They come apart fairly easy, but don’t just fall apart on their own. Some of the more intricate shapes take a little more force to open, but nothing crazy. These are super cute and have tons of uses, so I’d say they are a pretty good value for your money.

This is a great toy! It has educational value through the matching of the shapes. It is also fun for the child to use as pretend groceries.

Just got these today, and my two and a half year old grandson absolutely loves them. Each egg is color and shape specific, and there are multiples of the same color with different shapes. The child has to match not only the color, but the shape. They also have to line the shape up with the corresponding hole correctly. This is great for memory, for manual make dexterity, and for learning colors and shapes. Also great for pretending. He pretends he's cooking with the eggs. The only downside is that the eggs are a little hard to open; even for me. I am finding though that as he plays with them it's getting easier. Hint: Don't twist the eggs to open. Just pull them apart.
