GREAT QUALITY
They work really well this is the 4th pit I have owned and it's downfall is it has no latches these work very well just be sure to measure the set back of the latch and it's as easy as that 5 stars

Great for an odd purpose
I bought these to install on my Weber Smokey Mountain. These are able to grab the lip of the charcoal bowl and pull the vertical chamber down onto it tight, and there's no need to install a little hook to accept the latch arm. I pop riveted these on, but I did expand the holes slightly to accommodate the rivets I wanted to use.

Would be better with matching surface hooks
Works fine, easy to install, but wish they came with matching hooks.

Love the operation
They are spring loaded which helps in operation, but makes them a challenge to install. Marking drill holes was tough, but not impossible with two hands.

Used to replace latches on poorly designed Husky tool kit
I ordered the 73mm size to replace the cheap red plastic latches that came in my injection molded case that holds the tools to my Husky tool kit. I love the kit and I love the case but because the latches were held in place by 2 undersized tabs (bad design), both latches broke off. The set I bought for my son and a friend both did the same. Took a caliper and started measuring the areas and exploring different style latches that may possible work to restore the functionality of the case. These worked perfectly. I anchored them with 5/32" rivets. Now as good as new and better than when it was new.
