Is the company logo on both sides of the handle

Hi Paul, I own three Opinel pocket knives, models #6, 7 and 8. The #7 and #8 knives both have the company name and phrase “Savoie France” applied, in white, on one side of the handle. The #6 model does not have any identifying markings on its handle. All three knives have their model number and the phrase “Made in France “ inscribed on the steel collar locking collar(s) directly above the wood. Have fun … Paul

Can this knife be used by left-handlers?

Hi … the handle on this Opinel is neutral in shape and I think that it should be equally graspable by both right and left handers.

Is this a thin blade? Can it cut/seed an apple without braking the blade?

These iconic French knives are much tougher than they appear, there’s a different model/# for every need, and yes, they can handle any apple or vegetable easily. I’d say the No. 8 is the best and most useful of them all. The handle size is a bit longer for a larger hand, but still easily to carry. Picnickers all over the world have used Opinel to prepare meals since 1890.
