First time trying this paste and learning how to cook with it, excellent! Spicy, full of flavors, easy to use and last for months. For me, it’s the best Gochujang on Amazon that’s affordable and delicious.

Hunts and Heinz are two great ketchups yet both are completely different in flavor. I find I like Heinz better for its sweetness but Hunts does well when making certain sauces thanks to its tanginess. Same with gochujang. I consider gochuchang the ketchup of Korea. The many different brands which offer this spicy condiment really depends on the individual tongue. I have bought another brand - Sunchang and found that one thick like miso which I don't mind at all but I also found it saltier with just a tinge of sweetness. Sempio is sweeter but not too sweet, it is like the Heinz ketchup. The consistency is less of a paste but more of a liquidy type condiment like a mustard on a sandwich. This, by the way, is great on sandwiches! It is slightly spicier than the Sunchang but not as much since both are at a level 3 out of 5. The burn only lasts a few minutes then completely disappears. Again, this gochuchang can be used with any dish, there are no restrictions in the way to use it. It is all just a matter of taste and preference.

This came in a package with other things. Upon opening the package, the containers plastic seal was opened and there was gochujang inside the box. It got on some of my things, though they were fine. I cleaned it up and had to wash my hands multiple times, it got on my bed somehow, but I salvaged what I could. The product is good though, I've ordered this once before, but this is the first time this has happened. I doubt it's the company's fault, I think it was just from shipping, but just beware. I have zero complaints about the product, but I figured I would review anyway just to give feedback.

I bought this on a whim wanting "spice up" my breakfast/lunch meal. (pun not entirely intended). I frequently make some white rice, and stir in some eggs, and add a little bit of whatever I have around the house, mushrooms/sausage/peas/carrots/green peppers/onions. That's pretty flavorful, but I wanted something a little more. After some online recipe shopping I came across Gochujang. My little grocery store does not carry it, so I found this product on amazon. It has a decent amount of heat. I find Tabasco and Franks red hot and standard buffalo hot wings and jalapenos are a comfortable level of heat and this is a smidge hotter in my opinion. Also there is a fermented funkiness to this sauce that took a couple of tastes to acquire. This is more of a concentrate and not to be eaten alone (I took a small taste when I got it just to test...not great by itself). Mix it in other stuff.

This tub is going to last me forever! Fortunately, the container and ingredients are shelf stable because this would never fit in my fridge! Great value for the price and an amazing flavor bomb for a variety of dishes!
