The Upgrade I Needed
If, like me, you're used to the cheap projectors and constantly being unsatisfied with the output, prepare yourself to be satisfied. Crystal clear, can reduce down to teeny size simply by moving the projector closer to the work, bright enough with excellent detail for most jobs if you're projecting onto white paper, super bright if you turn off the lights. It's not the projector for any work bigger than about 3'x4', but you could do it depending on the amount of detail you need and whether or not you can turn off ambient light. It's not the projector for large wall murals. There's another Autograph model for that with much higher lumens. But, for the average illustration type projection job, it's perfect. The controls all work like they're supposed to, focus is nice and tight, etc., etc.... I kinda balked at the price, but now that I got it, it's worth the dough.

Unable to use during the day AT ALL
Very sad to say that I am so disappointed in this projector. Where the features it offers are great for what I use it for (projecting images for large scale paintings), it is not even an inkling bright enough to see the image. It must be completely dark in the room or night time for it to work. The brightness is at its highest setting. That’s the first place I went to try to solve this issue. I am unable to use it during the day at all as my painting studio has a lot of natural light. Rendering this projector useless during most of my working hours. I can’t believe I spent so much money on it.

Versatile digital projector.
I am an amateur artist and find it challenging to draw free-hand on my painting surface. However, after purchasing this digital tool, projecting an image onto my gessoed masonite is a breeze. It really speeds up the artistic process. It also allows you to project an image via USB, wireless, etc.

Wonderful tool for artists
I have read a number of reviews on this product and was hesitant to buy, but am glad I did. It works great and it was pretty easy to set up. The only thing I do not like is the enclosed USB drive. It is not compatible with my laptop so I cannot transfer my digital paintings onto it in order to paint them for real. There seems to also be a problem with connecting the blue tooth function to Apple products. However, the projector will read my other flash drives so I do have.a way of saving to my own and then using with this product. All in all it is wonderful to be able to have the images projected onto my canvas which I now can use to paint or sketch. Would recommend.

Artograph LED500 is great!
I'm very happy with his projector! As an artist I find it to be a key tool to add to my supplies. I looked at other brands and one of the main selling points for the Artograph LED500 was the 30,000 hours of lifetime the bulb has before it needs to be replaced. The projection is crisp, clean and bright. I'm looking forward to using this tool in future projects. The size is a plus too.

Worked once and now won’t turn on
Had a Flare 150 which quit working after two years of very lite use and decided to go ahead and upgrade to the Flare 500. I have enjoyed the usable grids, size, ability to quick check perspectives and the storage size of the unit. This said, after one use with the 500 it will not power on (green to red flashing light). Let the journey of repair and/or replacement begin. After owning two units, cannot recommend buying this product when there are cheaper projectors in the market that will do much the same without a few frills.

Not ready for Market
This product was a disappointment from the beginning. I bought it to upgrade from there 300 model I had for years hoping they had made it easier to use, without glitches and with consistent performance, and brighter projection. All the company did was make it smaller with a battery. The instructions were abysmal and there were no videos available to figure out how to use it. Worked some times then a few minutes later it would state on screen that there were no images available, or No HDMI access??? I called and emailed the company numerous times I finally received a call back a few days later which doesn’t work when you have an Art deadline. He was helpful, explained how to use, apologized for the bad directions, said they needed to develop a video and that if I had any other problems or questions just call or email. I did when it wouldn’t work on several occasions and got no reply at all. So I returned the 500 projector as per instructions, 2 weeks later no refund so I had to contact Amazon and they stepped up and credited my card. I needed this but don’t be fooled it does not perform.
