String of Pearls Succulents Senecio Rowleyanus (2 Pack in 2" Pots …)

These succulents were clearly well taken care of and packaged with care before they were shipped. I got three pairs of plants, and they all arrived looking green and healthy. I'm really impressed that they came with such long strings of pearls already growing on them! I was expecting them to be very young and still undeveloped, so that was a nice surprise. I'm very pleased with what I received and would highly recommend this seller!

Do not overwater them if you want a healthy green plant. These are succulent family so they don’t need a lot of water! I water mine once a week two water bottle capful - that’s it! Now to the review: Look at the growth in less than 6 months! I planted a couple of strands in each pot and they took off! Windowsill is the best place for these! Highly recommend this seller. I had no issues only pleasure growing these plants! Update: 01/14/23 the last picture is an update after another 6 months. The plants grew immensely-growing several new strands. Love them! Have them on the windowsill in my bathroom that has lots of sunshine - probably good part of the day. Enjoy! 1/2/2025. Update 2.5 years later - all going strong! Many people don’t believe they are real :))) 12/13/2025 I now have a wall made of strings of pearls and they are gorgeous!

This came in mail and still look better than the ones I've bought at the store. They were full of healthy green pearls and dirt not too wet not too dry. Will definitely buy again from this seller.

I ordered this twice. The first time the plant died, but I believe that was due to my care. The second plant I ordered is thriving. I have it in direct sunlight, I repotted it, watered, and fertilized it and it started growing new shoots immediately (or as immediately as a succulent can as they are slow growing). I find some of the reviews people have left where the plant died not helpful. If the plant arrived alive then its death is kind of on you. I recommend this product.

UPDATE: 2 months later and my plant is doing GREAT! I placed in a slightly larger pot, and it’s growing fast! I barely water it (only when dry as a bone). 2 pictures have been added to show all the lush growth! I’m happy To see it grows faster than I was expecting. ——————————————————————— My string of pearls plant arrived about a month ago, very well packaged (see photos) and on time, all the way cross country! It was packed in 3 layers (not counting the box, so that’s some solid care for shipping! I will say it was in very dried out soil, but the plant itself was not dried out at all (which, as a succulent should be able to handle a week without water). It was not quite a “full mane” of pearls, but not far different from the pictures of the product. Closest to probably the first photo and the one of the large group of them sitting together. I do love that it arrived with several flowers! It could’ve used a little more soil below to push it up a little but I’m guessing some of it shifted in mailing. I hope it will be a fast’ish grower, fill in the spaces, and become more lush. I would definitely buy from them again. I was tired of waiting for my local garden centers to get any. Plus, the garden centers were more expensive. I’ll enjoy watching this little one grow! I will wait to repot it until after it gets a bit more established.

So I’ve been hunting for a string of pearls for so long and finally found some! At first I was hesitant just because I didn’t know how it’d be ordering live plants off of Amazon… I got an email saying they were delivered a day earlier than the earliest possible day of receiving them(delivery was estimated between 16th-28th) I was very excited but got home to no packages that day. I sent the shop a message and had fantastic customer service and received the 2 4in pots the next day with that being said…they were packaged very securely and suffered from no damages. In the picture they’ve already been repotted into a bigger pot! I definitely would recommend this Amazon seller to friends and family and whoever is reading this review! Do it! Buy it! You won’t find yourself regretting it! But I will add this…string of pearls are a very sensitive succulent…they don’t like too much water and a lot of the reviews I read were about how they died a few weeks after receiving or because of watering. String of pearls enjoy top watering/misting rather than bottom watering or soaking…they have shallow roots so bottom watering doesn’t work well especially because the soil will soak up too much water for the plant and will end up overwatering the poor thing….you don’t want to risk drowning it either when top watering so it’s best to simply mist it every few days or top water it by putting a thin layer of water on top of the soil and then leave it alone!

Sadly this plant arrived looking scarce and so far is not doing well. I’ve had it for about six weeks and have lost quite a few strings. Hopeful it will survive, but overall disappointed with how small and sad this plant was when it arrived.

I love this plant so much! After caring for it for one year, it is incredibly healthy in its spot hanging in our sunroom. I recently had to trim it because it was about an inch from touching the floor. I am fairly certain that what I received is "string of tears" instead of "string of pearls". They are very similar, but as you can see from my close-up photo, the pearls are actually more oblong shaped. After doing a little research on the two plants, I think it's difficult to identify them when they are young plants, but after growing, string of tears develops leaves that are longer and tear-shaped. That is the only reason for the 4-star review instead of 5. Overall, it's a great buy and I would purchase it again.
