Eliminates most cases of ground buzz and hum
Solves a frequent problem of ground hum, when you run XLR to a faraway powered speaker, plugged in to another outlet. Leaves the signal strong, unlike a direct box that converts a line level signal to mic level. Smaller than I thought it would be. Built to last, like everything of this brand. This is the sort of thing I don't want to pinch pennies with, and buy the lowest cost model. The quality of the transformer inside is the most important element.

Fixed my USB related ground loop issue
I had a ground loop that did not look like a typical ground loop. Was definitely related to a usb port in the computer, so it was not a "classic" 60 Hz humm, but it was some high pitched static noise. The intensity of this noise depended on the movement of the mouse and other computer activities. At first I tried to cure it with a usb ground loop dongle which did not work at all. This IceCube fixed the problem. Enjoying clean sound! Used Radial DI boxes a lot in professional live sound setups, always high quality stuff!

IMPROVE YOUR BASS SOUND!
Pro bass player here.....play many gigs with big pro sound systems, and need to provide a DI out of my bass head. I use the Icecube every time, and get compliments on how great the bass signal sounds. Not only does it isolate the signal (no hum), but it also has the added benefit of smoothing out and improving the sound. How? It is a high quality isolation transformer - which is an inductor, which naturally helps gently roll off very low and high frequencies and buffers transients, providing a very slight *compressor* effect (its power supply equivalent is a *choke* or inductor, which helps cushion the supply from voltage swings). Your sound will instantly improve with the IceCube. Every soundman I worked with loves the bass signal from this thing! Just buy it, and use it on your DI output. It's not just for reducing hum - you will hear the difference - a warmer and more punchy bass sound!

Ice Cube is the best that I have tried.
My dear wife has the ears from hell. As a musician I know that little hums creep into complex signal trains (I have a large pedalboard for guitar) but wifey has no toleranceโฆ โItโs humming! Canโt you hear that? I canโt stand it!โ I put the Ice Cube in the line that carries everything to my PA. Aaaah! Marital bliss! โค๏ธ๐ถ

Great but cheaper alternative exists.
Great ground loop solver, I have tried many products such as the ifi usb which didn't work for me. This works, I have used them on a rca to xlr cable to some studio monitors and pc. Easy use just set it and forget it. I only gave it 4 stars because while it works flawlessly there is a similar, cheaper and perhaps better unit. The Art DTI transformer works just as well and handles multiple connections xlr,rca and even trs. Each has its own output as well for only $75 so it might handle multiple instances and outs will have to test.

I had a terrible ground loop problem, but this little cool guy here fixed it.
I tried everything, I assume its part of my motherboard not grounding properly when connected to audio recording gear. I tried several different gear to get rid of the loop, including buying a new interface with a separate power source and even attempting to ground my case with a gater clip/grounding cable. This partially worked. But only and ONLY when I hooked ice cube up between my mic and the interface did it kill the loop entirely. A product that does exactly what it should, easy peasy. Much love radial <3

Hum Reduction
This device feels solid. However, it could not attenuate the hum produced by our sub-woofer. Though, subjectively speaking, it reduced the hum approximately 85%. Packing material was appropriate and the device arrived in excellent shape on the day promised.
